Sooo, question, I'm trying to make a custom google map that is in street view, and contains a lot (just under 300) of marker points. I then need to embed this map into a website using an iframe so that site viewers can click and drag the map within the iframe on this website.

I've been trying to use the Google Mapmaker Lite for this, by uploading a .csv file with these points on it and then creating the iframe embed. However, while I'm able to import these points and get the markers on the map, I can only find a "share" code for this map and not an "embed/iframe code".

Any suggestions on this, do I need the pro account for this to be a reality?

Thanks in advance.

What is the best thing to do if you do not wish to connect with someone yet they invite you to connect on LinkedIn?

Or am I being silly for even asking?

Hello +Connie Mei That's exactly what I've done. They re-sent the request but I've ignored it. I realized after posting that this could've seemed an infantile question. But, I was hoping that linkedIn maybe had some privacy settings that you could rely on in situations like this.

Quick question - I have a client that uses gmail to host her personal domain email. We are launching a new website and have had to transfer her domain to a new registrar as well as set up new hosting. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to keep her personal domain email from crashing when her domain is transferred.

Yes, the correct way to say it is google apps. I got it worked out also, once the correct mx records were added it took about an hour to update.

Using Joomla Tags for menu items - if I use Joomla tags as menu links, can they be set to show articles like they appear in a category blog?

Or am I just limited to a list of links?

I have a home page that is set to display a category blog with parent category "home" which contains child categories and I've set the home menu link to display all child categories as well.

However, say I make a post that I do want to appear on the home page in order of it's post, but I also want to post relevant articles to this post but I do not want these relevant articles to appear in the home page feed, just in their subcategory menu link.

I am aware of setting the home page to "featured" articles, but I don't want to have to manually do this as all articles and posts I want to go to the home page feed, except for these relevant articles.

Is there a way to do this that doesn't involve using the featured article selection?

Not exclude, but rather include.

Essentially I'd like to be able to create a blog layout using tags instead of categories, therefore I could have the same article appear in more than one blog layouts due to their tags - since I could give an article both a "video" tag and a "news" tag, therefore if a site viewer clicked a tag menu link for video they would see that article, but if they also clicked the news tag menu link they would see the same article.

Hi, new to Magento and was wondering what blog extensions are recommended for a site that needs the blog within the actual site and not at a subdomain or other place like blogspot?

I am open to paid as well as free extensions, I'd just like to find one that integrates easily, performs great with respect to SEO, and is user friendly.

Thanks in advance. Oh, and it's Magento Enterprise 1.7.0.2

Hello, I am relatively new to Plesk, I inherited a site that uses a Virtual Private Server from Godaddy for it's hosting and it also uses Plesk. So far, I've created three new sites on this server for related projects so I do have a little bit of working knowledge on using Plesk.

So I need to upgrade my php version from 5.3.3 to at least 5.3.10 but I'd prefer to go to 5.4+ if possible. I think I'll have to login into the server using SSH (I'm on a mac so I would use Terminal for this), but I am not fluent in server line commands, so is there any resource that gives the commands necessary to upgrade the software?

Very valid question, Alston! May I recommend the excellent "Linux Command Line" by the wonderful +William Shotts - it's available from Amazon.com as Kindle Edition. There's even a free version on his website here: http://linuxcommand.org

I wish I knew about this book when I started doing Linux. It takes a step by step approach to the command line, and you'll soon feel at home in Terminal ;-)

I need a monthly subscription to a stock image site that also allows me to create multiple users so that each of these people can search, select, and download their own images for use online in a blog-style site. Any recommendations?

I am familiar with several companies that offer stock images, but specifically I'd like to be able to add multiple users to the account so they can obtain their own images for their articles. Even better if theres a specific company that offers special pricing for .org/student driven websites...?

Thanks in advance.

Using Stackideas Easy Blog --> any advice on how to create a 2-column layout for easy blog? Ideally I would have layout control over it like the main Joomla blog layout menu item, but this doesn't seem possible unfortunately...

I was thinking to make each blog post have a width of something around 47% and float left in order to keep continuity for posting dates. I'm wondering if I'll run into trouble doing this down the road, or, if someone else has done this with Easy Blog?

Help & Questions  -

Hello, I'm relatively new to Adsense, my experience comes from setting it up on a site I manage but I do not own this site.

I now want to add a site I do own to my adsense account, but how do I do this so that any ad revenue my site generates does not go to the bank account of the owner of the site I manage.

The owner of the site I manage added me to his account so I could manage the ads for the site I do not own. But I'm not seeing clear instructions on how to set up my own bank account with adsense and create ads for my site.

Any suggestions or resources out there that explain this?

Is there a an easy way to set up a category for "Sale" products, using the special price feature and dates in the product list area in the admin section, and then the products will automatically be added and removed from the sale category based on their selected dates of their special prices?

I've been reading on this and haven't found a logical solution (logical in my terms.. :) that it seems easy to do but you would have to manually add the sale products to the sale category and manually remove them. This seems odd as it's available on many cart systems natively.

+John Hickling thanks for your answer John. In theory, I know about cron jobs and filters like you mentioned above, I've never written one myself. What sort of skill level is needed to understand how to write that and/or create a cron job?
