What an Anti-Memory is and How it Frees Your Mind - Memories, at their most basic, are electrical impulses. But what happens if those impulses are always firing? Would they overload your brain the same way that running too many programs on your computer would fry its RAM? The answer is yes. Scientists think that these overly excited neurons could be the culprits behind conditions like epilepsy, schizophrenia, and autism. The balancing agent that keeps that from happening are anti-memories.
Wonder how your brain makes space for new memories? Scientists at Oxford just discovered how.

The Entire World is Getting a New Polio Vaccine This Month - National Geographic

And that’s only one of the many maneuvers necessary to truly end polio, which in the 1980s caused more than 350,000 cases of paralysis a year. So far in 2016, there have been only nine cases in two countries: Afghanistan and Pakistan.
A global swap of millions of doses of polio vaccine could be a big step in finally ending the disease.

I believe that thinking only of our own comfort and peace to the neglect of other troubles in the world is immoral. The time has come for us to consider seriously how to change our way of life, not through prayer or religious teaching, but through education. Since moral education is sometimes only superficial, we need to devise a systematic approach to exploring inner values and ways to create a more peaceful world.

Immune cells help the brain to self-heal after a stroke - The monocytes travel to the inflamed area, and here they develop into macrophages that clear out any dead tissue. But this is not all that they do: they also secrete substances that help the brain repair the damage.
After a stroke, there is inflammation in the damaged part of the brain. Until now, the inflammation has been seen as a negative consequence that needs to be abolished as soon as possible. But, as it turns out, there are also some positive sides to the inflammation, and it can actually help the brain to …

First your ego’s heart has to break, then your soul’s heart has to break. You need to go through a meta-ton of pain: mental, physical and spiritual –soul-caliber pain, tantamount to existential proportions, far exceeding the trivial pain of the hyperreal plane. Then, and only then, may you proceed along the path.
Before you can experience the stillness on the tip of the iceberg of illumination, you must first have reconciled the hidden iceberg of annihilation.

Introduction
I deliver healthcare; CAM HOUSE CALLS!
Founder/Director Los Angeles Mobile Acupuncture | medical concierge | home health group

After completing a 4 year masters program with cum laude honors and passing my state board exam the first time, I went to work in West Hollywood for the Evolve Wellness Center doing Tui-na, massage therapy, and  both medical and orthopedic acupuncture. We also provided weekly ear clinic treatments at off site locations.

Since graduating, I have always done house calls and found I love the therapeutic benefit of not sending patients back into traffic. We deal with the horrors of Los Angeles traffic and parking for you.

So I started Los Angeles Mobile Acupuncture in 2010 and offer services from several practitioners at the convenience of where and when in the greater Los Angeles; home, office, hotel, set, or arena.

We are out of network providers for PPO health insurance and accept Workers Comp, FlexSpend, and Car Insurance Medical. We also accept Visa, MC, Discover, and AmEx for your convenience.

I look forward to helping you. Please feel free to contact me about your concerns or questions about our services.

  • Evolve Wellness Center
    Acupuncturist / Tui-na bodyworker, 2009 - 2010
This was a great way for me to learn about running an acupuncture practice. It was a great group of acupuncturists and massage therapists in West Hollywood. The location was nice but parking made it difficult for patients to want to return. Individually, I discovered how I wanted to best help you and your loved ones in and around Los Angeles as I honed my skills as an acupuncturist and bodyworker. As a group, We did a lot of events to include volunteering weekly at the Gay and Lesbian Elderly Center (triangles and squares) and the Assistance League of Southern California (Hollywood), as well as wellness fairs and promotions across Los Angeles.
  • Emperors College
    Clinic Front Desk, 2007 - 2008
I started this job to assist the school a time of need. After a protest where the staff walked out, I stepped in to help keep the clinic running smoothly for patients, students, and staff alike. I assisted in daily operations of the clinic as well as train newly hired personnel until a new Clinic Manager was hired.

I'm an acupuncturist myself. I highly recommend Neal Miller. This was one of the best sessions I've ever had. I've wished I could find someone closer to my style and he is my superior in skill and experience. Neal is a very compassionate and understanding physician. He has both the heart to heal and skill to listen.
