How to get back to iOS 7.1.1 after installing iOS 8 beta
If you installed a beta version of iOS 8 on your iPhone or iPad and now find yourself thinking the bugs and crashes are more than you bargained for, you may want to return to iOS 7 again. Luckily, the downgrade process is fairly straight forward and simple. However, it does come with a few caveats...

Hey Allyson, great just discovering your great work as an educator in the cloud-classroom :) This is very interesting...

I've stumbled upon your writings via the mad music professor that is Dr. Frick (re goo.gl/30EHWI), and felt compelled to pester ya when I read ya credentials -'...take apart an iPhone in less than 6 minutes. I also like coffee and Harry Potter more than anyone really should.' Kindred

We're talking ios-midi-shop, his MIDI-LE is currently 7.1 only (I'm still 7.0.6) and he asked WHY NOT re users refraining from iOS firmware updates...

Here's the conundrum - 'ios 8 is sluggish ' - goo.gl/JTtgON

BUT then I thought that I'd read 'MIDI over bluetooth' is just now being supported... reasons FOR ios8 - goo.gl/xdDiZu

So, whatever I decide, I think first jobs are backup then try 7.1.1 (if possible)...

Do you know if users can select a previous ios, via an offline update?

aaaand finally, re 'users can downgrade 'for now ( 25/9/14 ) - is this still an option ?

Hate Facebook game invites with the fire of 1,000 suns?! Here's how to block every last one of them on your iPhone or iPad!
If you don't play Candy Crush Saga, or any other Facebook game for that matter, but you keep getting requests for lives and items from your Facebook friends, you're probably past frustrated. I've even seen some friends delete people or unfollow them simply to stop the never ending stream of game requests. Unfortunately, sometimes people don't realize they're spamming their friends....

Having issues with WiFi on your Mac? Here's how to fix!

My Mac's inability to reconnect to its Wi-Fi network maddened me until I learned that it was actually a Bluetooth preference file causing problems. Seems to be something Mavericks users see a lot.
Having trouble getting your Mac to reconnect to Wi-Fi after waking from sleep? The problem may be related to Bluetooth, and here's how to fix it As near as I can tell, somewhere along the way after I upgraded to Mavericks, my Retina MacBook Pro stopped working right. It wouldn't reconnect to a Wi-Fi network after waking from sleep. I had to manually reconnect it; often I'd have to...

Excited about WWDC? So are we!
WWDC 2014 kicks off Monday at 10am PDT with Apple's first keynote of the year. Apple will be streaming it live and iMore will be there bringing you in-depth commentary and analysis. There's a real electricity in the air this year. iOS 8 and especially OS X 10.10 seem to be generating real excitement and that excites us. So, based on what's happened in the past, what could Apple be...

Everything we know about iOS 8, want to see, have heard, and more!
iOS 8, codenamed Okemo, is the 2014 version of the iPhone and iPad operating system currently in development by Apple. iOS 8 is expected to be shown off at WWDC 2014 on June 2 and released on or around September 17, 2014. (Apple has stuck almost exclusively to a year release cycle for iOS, the major exception being iOS 5 which came out some 16 months after the previous version.)...

That’s certainly the impression we get when we talk about freemium, so we’ve rounded up our favorite titles that do away with all of that, and provides the absolute maximum of product up-front. We eat at 801 quite often. It's always been a family favorite and a work favorite among small businesses in the area. The service is great, there's a good selection of food, and the prices are beyond reasonable. It isn't a 5 start restaurant and isn't meant to be. It's a unique little known secret in the area. The Philly, Eggs Benedict, and Prime Rib melt are favorites of mine and I would highly recommend them to anyone not sure what to order.
