My experience has been pretty horrible with this business. 1. When driving home smoke started pouring from under my hood. It turns out they spilled oil over the engine exhaust which almost caused a fire. 2. On my visit they stated quite plainly that since my car is from the Northeast and has some rust they will be charging me extra money every time they work on my car. 3. To back this up, for my 90,000 service they quotes me $750 for normal maintenance work. This cost is way above what most places charge. This business almost caused a fire in my car and they have no issue trying to rip me off. I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

Response from the owner - 3 months ago
Hi Ethan, Sorry to hear that you feel this way, and we apologize for any communication issues. We have only ever seen your car twice, both times for oil changes, the first in October of 2015, we also diagnosed the cause of your oil light being on and waived the diagnoses fee, this was on invoice # 47063, and the last time we saw your car was in May of 2016 on invoice # 51030 for just an oil change. Curious as to why you waited until October to bring this up to us? You were quoted $638.00 plus tax and emailed a quote on may 13th, that quote is still date stamped in our system, and the price did not reflect any extra time for rust nor have we ever charged you anything extra during your two visits for rust. Here is a link for the average price for a 90k service in your zip code, you will find we are on the low end of the price range. http://repairpal.com/estimator/results If we see a car that has rust issues, we will it to your attention. We are sorry for any communication issues and we wish you the best with your Subaru. -Justin

We have been seeing a lot of this again this winter here in the Seattle Area, a small amount of fuel will go a long way in odor and does have the potential to be unsafe. If you are smelling fuel here is one possibility, the article is geared towards the 2000 to 2004 Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback, but later models and the Impreza WRX also seem to have similar issues.

A quick How to install a Cabin Filter on a Modern Subaru
Replacing the cabin air filter on a modern Subaru,  say 2005 and up is now a normal part of routine Subaru maintenance.  The first cabin filters appeared in the early LL Bean trim levels on the second generation Outback.  Those were very cumbersome to change, this actually didn’t change until the current platform models for…

Subaru Eyesight and windshield rock chip information
Subaru Eyesight   As with any new technology there will always be things that are not known by many until stumbled upon on accident.  Such is the case with repairing rock chips on newer Subaru models equipped with Subaru's new feature Eyesight ®.  This is not the entire windshield mind you, but just a portion of the windshield outlined in the TSB  from Subaru included with this post.   Most drivers would never dream of taking their Subaru to the ...
