"A spark, a flicker, is it even a glow?
Sometime starting this fire is painful and slow.
I love thee Lord Jesus, but my passion is stale
Weighed down by distractions, I am feeble and frail
Wrapped up and tangled and pulled at by earth
Exalting it's frivolities, ignoring Your worth
Yet on Your heart I am written, on Your hands I'm engraved
This pitiful little flicker is kept by a Consuming Bright Flame
Oh God, burn them down, these idols I've built
Don't take from me Your living water though often I've spilt
Fill my heart, and my soul, and my mind, and my eyes
Shine Your Light on the world and through its clever disguise
Don't let my belly get full on its lies and deceit
While You're offering me a feast both plentiful and sweet
I cannot dabble in both, but only by one be consumed
Let it be with Your glory, 'stead of things steeped in doom
Let me drown in Your love ocean, not just sip it without care
Let my heart's fire for You make it obvious You're there
Fill my lungs with Your living breath till my lungs can't hold more
Til I can't take even one small puff of sin's air anymore
I want to say with the Psalmist that with my longings for You,
And not with earth's passing glees, I'm consumed
I need You so desperately, I can't do it alone
To try helping myself would never atone
Only You can make big what inside me is small
Only You can give me strength to love You above all
Oh Lord, I believe in you, help my unbelief
And keep aiding poor sinners of whom I am chief."

You're very welcome.  Loved your story of how you met your husband BTW.  Insane how YHWH works everything for our good if we love Him first.

Today I purchased a box of French Toast Crunch, seems like everyone is currently watching F•R•I•E•N•D•S, the gas prices recently * shocked face *, and the Dallas Cowboys are in the playoffs.

If there weren't staggering amounts of evidence to otherwise deny it, I'd say this was the year I turned 4 rather than the year I'm turning 20.

"The divorce rate is outta control
Too many broken homes that know,
It gets hard y’all
And that’s why we gotta take it to God y’all

Don’t let go
You need a dose of that heavy love

You can’t move it, you can’t shake it
You can’t beat it, you can’t take it
It’s unchanging, heavy love
It ain't changing, heavy love
So much power, so much patience
It’s a love, so amazing
It ain't moving, heavy love
It ain't breaking, heavy love

Hang in there at times when you’re hurtin' the worst
That’s when love feels the best, yeah
That’s when it matters the most, yeah
So find your lover, find your friend
Tell that one you love that you need him, yeah
Give him a dose of that heavy love

Talkin' bout’ that 20 year, 30 year, 40 year love
That’s the power of the, heavy love
So much power, heavy love
I’m talking bout’ that one, that only
Loving you my whole life,
That’s the love, heavy love"

7 months of being increasingly thankful for, moved and changed by our Christ given "heavy love."

He left not even 15 minutes ago....and he's not even gonna be gone too long....but still.

It's safe to say, our relationship is my favorite. <3

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." -psalm 27:14

Such a profound command because of how simple it is, and yet how difficult it is to actually do. "Oh for grace to trust Him more."

Honest, hard-hitting, emotional, and yet beautiful words from my Jasmine friend. <3
"Even in that excruciating pain, the Lord’s suffering on my behalf came to bear.
And I don’t mean I sat there singing Amazing Grace while waves of pain and grief flooded my heart. It was far from a pretty sight. I cried out to God — literal, guttural cries — and felt close to the suffering Savior who had experienced even more excruciating pain for me, not because he lost a child, but because he gave his all to bring lost children home."
A few days ago, my husband and I flew to San Diego, my favorite city to visit. I was sitting in the row behind him, almost giddy from excitement, eager for a reprieve from the stress that had plagued me for the last two weeks.

Heard the very tragic news earlier about the passing of Robin Williams and was greatly shaken and chilled. For the past week I've been watching Youtube videos of him (such as the one I've attached) and movies on Netflix that he starred in...for whatever reason, the thought has just been stuck in my head the last few days about how much I've always liked his work, especially as a child growing up on classics like Aladdin, Jumanji, Jack, Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire (the list literally goes on and on.) I laughed and couldn't stop smiling as I found some old comedy skits of his but was also bombarded by a more dirty and wicked side of him in some clips I never had seen growing up. I was immediately stricken with sadness for him and thought about how amazing it would be if the Lord saved him, such a magnificently talented man. To hear of how it appears that he very well might have taken his own life due to deep depression is a truly saddening thing. A man who brought so much happiness and laughter for decades to countless amounts of people dying by his own hand because he thought himself too overcome with sadness to handle life. I couldn't help thinking back on my thoughts from earlier this week about his need for salvation. The matter in which it happened is horrible but the truth is, death was coming to him eventually...as it is to all of us. No amount of humor, no amount of money or fame, no amount of friends, no amount of talent - literally nothing but Christ can bring us any kind of real and abundant and lasting joy. My thoughts now turn to all those that I know from all areas of life that, just like Robin Williams, are in desperate need of Christ. My heart is heavy for the lost soul of this man who just needed the hope of the Lord Jesus. "Only one life, will soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last."

Very well said. I was watching old skits in remembrance of him as well... it was sad to see how extremely inappropriate some of them were. Still have fond childhood memories of him though.

So, this is going to start with a bit of a confession and end with a story of triumph.

Confession: I haven't gone grocery shopping in three weeks. We've both been busy with work, we've been traveling, and part of that time we were still recovering from the colds that knocked us both out for a while. I looked at Trevor today and said, "Alright, we've had grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade french fries two days in a row now. I can make that again because literally all we have left is bread, cheese, and potatoes or we need to go to town, like maybe go to dinner, and then we have to grocery shop. So off we sped! Now, my husband has, so far, deemed $100 a week as our grocery budget and for our (almost) 3 months of marriage I've stayed comfortably inside that range. Often coming way under! But tonight, as my buggy filled up higher and higher, I looked over at Trevor and said, "Listen...this is me replenishing after three weeks. There's no way this stuff is even close to under $100." He teased me saying, with a smirk, that I'd have to put stuff back if it went over. ;) We finally finished with a completely full buggy and I sheepishly watched as the lady rung them up one by one. We hit $75, then $80, then $85...with still a 1/4 of what we got left to be scanned I just knew we were gonna blow the budget. As the last item went through and the computer calculated, I cringed. And then the lady said, "Your total is...wow! Your total is exactly $100 even!" Let's just say with all the commotion Trevor and I raised including a victory yell, high fives, fist pumps, and celebratory hugs...the whole store probably thought we won the lottery or the Super Bowl. I walked out, on cloud nine with a racing heart and an ear to ear grin. (I also called and told my mom through shrieks of unbridled excitement.)

Wife victories are pretty stinkin' grand. :)

My life is "hid with Christ in God" :)
Introduction
To begin,I'd like to say that it's really not about me.Without Christ I am nothing. Without His righteousness that He has covered my wickedness with,I would be worthless; headed for hell and the wrath of God. And so I want you first and foremost to know about my Savior before you know about me. "My soul doth magnify the Lord,And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For He that is mighty hath done to me great things;and holy is his name.Luke 1:46-49"But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound."Romans 5:20"For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."Philippians 1:21 ~
Bragging rights
I will not boast in anything. No gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection. :)

Airport Collision is quite frankly the best place to take your vehicle for repairs in Mt. Pleasant TX. Without a doubt there is no other place out there with better service and workmanship. From the very first call, everyone was sincerely polite and provided great customer service. They even got us a rent car. Now that's what I call service! They really do go above and beyond. My car looks incredible, no one can even tell it was ever in a wreck. It might even look better now than it did before the accident. I highly recommend them to anyone.
