Periodic Scrabble

Scrabble and the Periodic Table each just not geeky enough for you on their own?

SCoRe MoRe FUN WITh BOTh

Elemensus combines the best of word play and chemistry to challenge you like never BeFORe.

Only the letters and letter combinations from the periodic table can be used to form words, which ups the ante over Scrabble considerably (according to one calculation, only about 15% of the legal Scrabble words are allowed with the periodic table constraints: http://yanwong.me/?p=316). And while you are challenging the language centers of the brain, you just might soak up a bit more chemistry along the way.

If you'd like a head start learning which words are legal before trying the game yourself, check out Mark Nandor's site for a listing of valid chemwords: http://www.nandor.org/math/chemwords/chemwords.htm and visit elemensus.com for more details about the game.

Best played periodically!
