Man, i wish I could remember their names. Ask Diana what she remembers. I remember a fantasy themed dungeon game that happened in squares with little black and white icons...you had to battle your way through a castle. There was a great shuffleboard game on the mac. That's probably not too much help...

Some great insights about the toll of seeing something you love destroyed for a living!! I think this applies to a lot of people in the social change making profession.

Why telling non-profit marketers to emulate private sector practices isn't always a great idea.

Crazy--although it would be interesting to consider other social networks, right G+ friends?

Story

Environmental social scientist + policy + communications specialist
Introduction
Welcome to my Google + page, an oft neglected part of my social network ecosystem. I'm an environmental social scientist who loves to explore all sorts of ideas, theories and tools that could help us change the way we humans relate to the natural world. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Sociology at the University of Oregon, where I'm mostly thinking about the environment, emotions and the body. I also do policy, communications, organizational strategy, research, and management of digital tools that make any of the above easier or more effective.

Most of my policy work has focused on oceans and coast. I've worked on fisheries, endangered marine species, marine mammal conservation (especially sea otters!), water quality, and all the myriad issues that crop up when you start thinking about how to sustainably live on, in, and around the ocean.

I have also been a wildlife rehab oil spill responder, a waitress, a disgruntled store clerk, a cat adoption counselor, and an archery counselor.

And of course I'm on the internet, so it goes without saying that I love cats.
Bragging rights
As a matter of fact, I HAVE read War and Peace.
