I just started learning this set in my bagua classes.  I have learned the first 4 palms of the set.  I hope the learn the rest of the palms for this form within the next 2 weeks.

I remember learning my first bagua set - it was very complex and difficult (for me)!  Good luck to you.

Introduce Yourself!  -

Hello everyone!  My is Allen and I've been studying Chen Style Baguazhang for about 3 months now.  My Sifu is Master Zhen Kang Sun, who studied under Grandmaster Sun Zhijun.  I love the flow, the grace, and the hidden power of Bagua.  It is absolutely beautiful to watch, but within its beauty is a very effective martial art.  I am very happy and honored to be studying this martial art.

Welcome, and hope you love it!  Sun Zhijun's baguazhang is great stuff, and plus there is a lot of written and video material out there about it, too!  Bagua definitely is beautiful, and also very effective!

So the government plans on replacing Alexander Hamilton as the face of the $10 bill.  By 2020, a famous woman will be the face of the new $10 dollar bill.

My question is: Why are we replacing Hamilton on the $10 bill?  The person they should be replacing is Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill.  Of all the people whose faces are on our currency, Andrew Jackson is the least deserving.  He was the President who enacted the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which led to the tragedy we know as the Trail of Tears.  He was the one who was responsible for forcing Native Americans, from their homes to make that horrid march from what we know as the Deep South all the way to Oklahoma.  It is said that nearly 1/4 those who made that journey died.

I am all for putting a famous woman as the face of one of our currency bills, but they should be replacing Andrew Jackson, not Alexander Hamilton.

Just the term "cyber-Pearl Harbor" sounds ominous.  The possible damage that could occur from a cyber attack on US network is frightening.

Light pollution  -

So I try to spend one clear night out in the US East Coast in weeks observing the planet Jupiter. Instead, I have to deal with my neighbors ridiculous sensor light flashing on and off repeatedly every time a car passes by.  The amount of illumination that sensor light gives off is absurd.  Viewing Jupiter through my telescope was impossible.

Truly enlightening.  How can we be the greatest country if we rank so low in such a large amount of categories?  Being #1 in in incarcerated citizens is nothing to cheer.  Perhaps it is time for America to wake up, stop settling for the status quo, get some ambition, and strive to be better.

Introduction
I am married with 2 wonderful boys.  I work full time as an Information Security Analyst.  I currently hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University.  My concentration is Information Security.

I love to read, especially fantasy.  David Gemmell (RIP) is my favorite author.  I'm also a fan of Stephen R. Donaldson and Terry Brooks (Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever and Shannara series, respectively)

I also enjoy good conspiracy novels.  I am a big fan of Dan Brown and his novels.  Digital Fortress is my favorite Dan Brown book.

I listen to classical music, collect sword replicas, practice traditional archery, and I also enjoy star gazing.
