I would so love to live surrounded by that many books.
Some old libraries were designed to let lots of natural light into the stacks. There's a cool one at the University of Urbana-Champaign... Eugene Lerman took me into it.
I hope we don't lose this to e-books. The six year old asked to go to the bookstore (instead of buying a book on her Kindle), because she likes the feel of turning the pages. She said it like it was a guilty pleasure. Maybe there's hope.
Wait, I thought the library was "an indefinite and perhaps infinite number of hexagonal galleries"
Snazzy! Now I'll be sure to stop by the library when I start there.
