For the last 33 years, our caring staff has held an annual food drive for the holidays - donating to families who may need a little help this time of the year. Our team also has fundraisers in order to purchase turkeys, milk, bread, and disposable pans to add to the holiday boxes.

This year we collected 361 boxes of food to go out to families in Jackson. What does 361 boxes of food donated by our generous staff look like? Well, it's hard to show in a photo because we couldn't fit them all in, but this will give you an idea.

Thank you to all who participated this year! #HappyHolidays

Shoveling isn't the only thing that increases your risk of heart attack in the winter months. Protect your heart in cold weather.
When it comes to your heart, extra care is needed during the coldest months.

Soups not only take the bite out of a frosty night, they’re also a fuss-free way to get dinner on the table fast.
When the weather turns colder, sipping steaming hot soups and stews can keep you warm and toasty. Soups not only take the bite out of a frosty night, they’re also a fuss-free way to get dinner on the table fast.

Starting in February, we will begin an expansion to add 66 private patient rooms. The three-story, 59,000 square-feet Patient Tower will be built above the Henry Ford Allegiance Heart & Vascular Center. Construction will be done by the Christman Group from Lansing. Completion is expected in mid-2018.

“This expansion is part of our strategic plan for strength and growth and reflects our dedication to being a truly patient-centered health system.” President and CEO Georgia Fojtasek
"It is really what patients expect," President and CEO Georgia Fojtasek said Friday. "They rightfully want, if they have to be hospitalized, the best experience possible, and this will support that."

This test checks blood flow in your neck (carotid arteries) & abdomen as well as the blood pressure in your ankles. http://hf.alleg.me/2y
There are often no symptoms or warning signs for vascular disease, which can be life-threatening. Painless, non-invasive ultrasound screenings of the veins and arteries can identify problems.
