Beside being a #Linux fan, I'm also a long time amateur photographer, since the time of film and fully manual SLR, yes, I'm used to camera controls and manual focus....    #Android

Today, as I was quietly at home, and wife and kid were already in bed, I decided to take some macro shots. But before, I wondered if there was any free or open-source software so I could connect the camera to the computer and shot it from there.

Working in a top class Data centre, especially one of our calibre, and having a passion for photography it got me wondering.. I've been thinking of converting my old Canon EOS 350D to do IR photography, but never had a proper excuse to spend the cash required to get it converted.

Until I saw http://www.petersonpredict.com/tech_infraredimaging.php

This got me wondering, would it be possible to employ a similar procedure to inspect network cables? When you consider the speed and reliability requirements running over copper (even when using Cat6 or above) would it actually help?
