[Jesus preached love, not hate. Hate the sin, not the sinner.]

This whole Chick-Fil-A thing is a total circus of ridiculousness, but I couldn't resist sharing this poignant reminder of how hypocritical and selectively-Christian these supporters are. As my friend said, "I'm no expert on mythology, but I'm pretty sure the answer to 'WWJD?' is not: Stand in line for 2 hours to eat processed chicken as a symbolic statement to hate strangers. But what do I know?..."

Edited to add: This issue is not just about supporting free speech. If it were, then the supporters of Chick-Fil-A wouldn't be up in arms about opposers exercising their right to free speech by expressing discontent over the president's comments, and subsequently choosing to not support a company that funnels money into anti-gate hate groups. (More on that below.)

And no, he didn't just say he supports "traditional" marriage. (Which is already ridiculous, because today's marriage is not how marriage traditionally was. If he supports "traditional" marriage, that means he supports polygamy, captive virgins, and sex slaves: He has made hateful statements about homosexuality, and is a very generous ($5M) supporter of anti-gay hate groups.

And yes, we don't know that all of these people are Christians, but the only justification people can find to be against homosexuality/gay marriage is that "the bible tells us so," so we can safely assume that most, if not all, of these people are Christians.

Also, yes, of course not all Christians share these views. The message is directed at those who do.

Additionally, for the record, I don't think homosexuality is a sin, nor do I think hate should ever enter into the equation, period. I'm just echoing the words of those whole follow the Bible, which tells you to hate the sin, not the sinner.

It's really ridiculous that anyone likes their food. It's not that good. Seriously.
I think it is easier than I thought to get a flock of sheep to eat chicken in the name of spiritual bonding..
i dont know what more to say than OMG
+Alida Brandenburg I agree with this, but I would also like to point out that Jesus said: "I came to bring not peace, but a sword."
Heck, even "hating the sin" is a complete wheel-spin and a poor use of anyone's time. Maybe people should just hate their hate (so that they'll work on it).
Come on, you are just adding fuel to the fire! I am a Christian and I am one of the believers that think that all people are created in God's own image. Straight/ Gay whatever. A Lot of us are really not as bad as SOME people make us out to be. While I really do not condone what Chick-fil-a has done or what other alternative persons do, PLEASE don't put us ALL into the same group! Some of us Christians ACTUALLY follow GOD's Word and accepts all!

 Thanks :)
Who says these were all Christians? Who said that they don't help food shelters and the homeless? Since these people are participating in this activity that means they don't care about the needy? None of these people pictured donate their time and resources to help others? I personally don't know anyone in this picture so it's hard for me to judge the sincerity of each and every one. It's good to know that you obviously do! Please don't judge people that you've never met!
Then they wonder why people question the validity of their "faith".
Wrong. Jesus preached hate and submission and a small dose of genocide. Read the bible before talking shit. Please.
How in the hell can you judge these people ? This has got to be the stupidest post I have seen in a while.
Read the bible in context too. That helps.
I dont know eny thing abuot the love can you hileb me blz
+Bruce Lafone, I totally understand what you're saying and agree, but I don't think anyone was accusing all Christians of this. The point is that if people were this passionate about loving and caring for people, as Jesus taught, our soup kitchens and food banks wouldn't be in such desperate need. If anything, these supporters should have gone to Chick-Fil-A, bought a bunch of food, then donated it to those in need, instead of stuffing their own privileged faces with it. At least that would have been the more Christian thing to do.
What makes you think they're Christian? Do they have a fish symbol stamped on their head.
Rob Go
Like I said, these are just people with bad taste in food. Nothing to see here related to religion. Move along.
Stiofan O Broin... I believe that you have never read the bible. And in all honesty if you have then you may be reading it wrong. The closest thing the Bible expresses is that "one shall not spill seed" therefore some people use that as an excuse to condemn homosexuals. In my opinion that is not true, let's face it we are ALL sinners. May it be a heterosexual sin or a homosexual sin, it does not matter.

The problem is that some of my fellow Christians make this into something that it is NOT.

I will NEVER judge a homosexual and I am shamed that my Christian brothers and sisters seems to think they can.

Only GOD can judge us and homosexuality is just as much of a sin as my lust for a woman ( I am a red blooded male, I can't help it!). YES I AM a SINNER!

And as much as I try NOT to be....

I am only human... One of God's Children
Love the post +Alida Brandenburg and I did not assume that you were addressing all christians. Just the non-thinking ones. Your point came across very clearly. Some of these reactions seem to be of the knee jerk kind.
+Richard Glass They're supporting a Christian company because of their views on Gay marriage. I'd imagine there aren't very many people opposed to Gay Marriage who are opposed for non-religious reasons. So while yes, they're probably not ALL christian, I'd wager good money the majority of them are.
So much information much more ignorance in this information age.
And not all of us Christians like chicken!
I think it was less about Christianity and more about family values and free speech.
How hi wont cam viset the desert?
I support this post. End hypocrisy.
I've seen an argument like this one before, and I'm going to say the same thing I said there to..: I"m not trying to be rude or disrespectful...
But you guys are dumb/stupid as SPIT! (and yes I said S-P-I-T, get with the program).
Seriously, what are you guys fighting to prove? I'll tell you, NOTHING.
It's a useless/pointless battle aaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnddddddddddd you guys are setting a perfect example for the younger generations, waaaaayyyyyyy to go (Thumbs (sarcastically) waaayyyyy up!). Hopefully someone else is smart enough to just walk away. ~_~
(Sometimes I wonder about people)
Post about chicken and Christians, makes me cool.
the desert it es nice coutry we have a beauty photo
+Joseph Payne That may have been the reason in their heads, but it's a false justification. Studies have shown that children raised in homosexual households are just as well off as ones in heterosexual ones. In fact, slightly more so, because they tend to be more appreciated in homosexual households. As for Free Speech, all it states is that government cannot make laws to limit you voicing your opinions. It says nothing about people not being able to boycott your business or complain about your views. Just as these people have the right to patron the establishment based on those same views.

Point being, there's just as much value in a homosexual household, and nobody was impeding on Dan Cathy's rights.
+Alida Brandenburg    I have to take exception to your tag line of hate the sin love the sinner which implies that gay people are inherently sinful
You would never see the media give a crap about the tireless efforts of the people (Christian or not) who run the Food Banks or Homeless Shelters.
Alida Brandenburg-

I will never consider speaking for anyone else and I have said that not ALL of us Christians believe in the same thing.

This Chick-Fil-A thing is a HOT topic right now.

All I am saying is that don't judg the whole by a small minority. There are PLENTY of us who feel a wrong doing in this act.
You don't get it do you? Disagreeing with homo marriage is not hate. CFA's statement never mentioned hate, only the belief in traditional marriage. Hate came from the other side, the so called tolerant group. one cares about you and some mexican guy
grow up man
p.s. - nothing to do with chik fil a
I'm pretty sure not all those people are Christian or even claim to be. Making that picture seem even more ignorant.
How do you tell if they are or are not Christians ? Do they were signs ?
+Michael Fortenberry If disagreeing with homosexual marriage ≠ Hate. Then why does disagreeing with CFA's statement = Hate?
They're bringing their swords, like Jesus.
+Michael Fortenberry homo marriage? really? and yes it IS hate you are not allowing someone to have a right YOU have because you dont care for their lifestyle and thats pretty hateful
The largest soup kitchen in the springs is run by the Catholic charities.
How is it Hate?

MY God and my people CREATED the sanctity of marriage.

And people who are not of MY kind want to be treated as if they were. And because MY people say NO it is considered Hate?

How about getting your own beliefs!
+Adam Borden nobody is saying that gays don't have values.  Please don't misunderstand me.  I'm not anti/pro gay rights, I was stating my opinion on why people stood in line at Chick-fil-A...I think it was about family values and free speech.  Being Christian isn't about being anti gay.  I understand why non-Christians don't like Christians.  They seem holier than thou but don't act like it.  Jesus taught about love yet why do Christians hate gays, right?  I'm Gnostic, while still being Christian, my beliefs are a very different take on religion and humanity.  I believe hate is wrong in any form.  I also believe that telling someone that they should believe the way you do is wrong.  Everyone is so geared up for a fight that they jump on anything.  I made one post and got jumped on for being anti gay.  I'm not anti gay.  Some of my best friends are gay.  I have nothing but love for them.  So please, everyone, think first before you act.  And remember, everyone has the right to have an opinion, even people you disagree with.
+Joseph Payne but just by saying "family values " you imply gay people don't have/honor them which is wrong
I think you should do what ever makes you happy. It's not our place to judge others.
That's is NOT what I am saying.  I am saying that the people who stood in line at CFA, did so to support what they think of as family values.  ....remember, a lot of what Jesus said didn't actually make it in the Bible.  But you can find it in other books.  The people who put the Bible together didn't actually understand Jesus' words.
But if doing something that makes you happy makes other unhappy, who is right?
+Joseph Payne I apologize if you thought I was attacking you. Was not my intention in the least! Merely pointing out that the "Free Speech" and "Family Values" justifications have some logic fallacies... Wasn't attacking your personal beliefs, as I don't believe you stated them, so there was nothing to attack!
Joseph Payne-

You have NO CLUE what Jesus said!
it wasn't only christians out there. this kind of post continues to highlight the narrow minded tactics in this debate. anyone that supports a market based on product quality, value and service and NOT on social engineering, idealism and demagoguery should be out supporting chick-fil-a.

eat a chicken sandwich because it tastes good, and try gaining equal rights by voting, petitioning the gov't, and litigating discrimination. stop telling people how to live their daily lives to "support" your cause. it truly hurts the equal rights movement.
Ummm, just last weekend 65,000 Americans collected 300,000 pounds of food and sent it to 11 cities across the country. Most of them were Christians.
they were high on opium.... (the one for the masses)
I am enjoying the argument about what a fictional character said, or didn't say. You know, the one that no historical, scientific, nor geographical evidence has ever proved. The same one that has his story told more then 5 other times before his supposed existence. The point is. This whole argument is based on the feelings of people, and zero facts. If you believe in this myth, cool. Go to chic fila. If you don't, it's simple. Don't buy their goods. The proper way to handle this is to not keep adding to their financial success if you disagree. Not argue here about what a fictional book says.
I guess you would have to have been here when the tornado hit here in Tennessee. Churches came out by the hundreds and handed out food, rebuilt homes, even paid for families to stay in motels till they got back on their feet. You really need to know what you are talking about before you start typing.
Please with your Gay rights! We have rights too... like freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom to say we are all sinners like it or not.Do you really want ot go there with the whole christians in line.Look at all the community volunteer work thats done around the world!! Are you in that line? If you're not, then why are you judging all christians. Most christians do more volunteering in one month than so called non-christians do all year or in a lifetime.I'm not just pulling this out of thin air either. Not like the person who commented above and thinks all christians are pacifists.Sorry to disappoint you, some of us are willing to go the extra mile to defend our constitutional rights. What you are doing is worse than vocalizing your opinion, your attempting to shun a whole religion.Worse that the mafia!!!
Hey first of all Louis Bank that was uncalled 4 some people out there don't like u speakin of Jesus that way so take it down a notch ok and people have a rite 2 speak thier mind. I know lots of gays and i do have family that r gay and 4 me they can do as they wish with thier lives that is what they want. I disagree with certain things but in the end God will decide and that is 4 those of u who belive in him. To bad there isn't that many people goin up to a homeless and givin them some help in any way but we r only human.
So its OK to mock and hate Christians ? Hypocritical much??? Liberals are only interested in free speech when it agrees with their own. Just like the Red Party in USSR and the Nazi party and every other oppressive "peoples" party. I'm all for accepting queers as soon as you accept religious freedom.
Stupid post. People were out supporting "Free Speech"! Problem is, you liberals think "free speech" only applies to you!
+Thomas OBrien You have your religious freedom, now let the gay Americans have their civil rights. Speak all you want about your religion, just don't push your religion to be law.
+Thomas OBrien I do accept religious freedom, ALL RELIGIONS. And I accept they all have the same rights the constitution grants them. Your move sir...
+Christopher Ball - this fictional book you refer to, is it Darwin's Origin of the Species? Or Al Gores An Inconvenient Truth? Last I checked both are theories, unable to be proven by any but the most opinionated pseudo-science. Anything provable in the Holy Bible has been backed by archaeological research. Besides, this is about free speech, not the content of the speech. Disagree, agree, or abstain - just practice Wil Wheaton's philosophy when discussing it: "don't be a dick"

Do you think all them conservatives are eating chicken AIDS?

+Raising Canes  is far better anyways. See their logo, "one love" :D

                                                                 I feel like I need a disclaimer to make a joke here/now
+Kirby Smith They were out supporting a company that gives millions to companies who lobby the government to keep gay marriage illegal. You're thick headed if you think this is simply about freedom of speech.
+Kirby Smith Nope, it applies to everyone. They're allowed to buy a sandwich, and I'm allowed to mock them for it if I see fit.
let me see if i get this straight.... you are asking everyone to be tolerant of your beliefs, but when the other people's beliefs don't match yours you belittle them and insult them? way to go, I didn't care one way or another about gay marriage, but after the "class" you have shown this week, I will be voting AGAINST every bill that comes out for gay marriage in my state... way to go...
Do we have religious freedom? Its not freedom FROM religion, it is freedom OF religion. Kids can't say God in school, referring to His word in public is shunned, and Christmas is only allowed to be called 'holiday' since it might make someone feel bad.
U r correct Mr.Obrien there r people that use thier freedom of speech in a hateful way but that is why some people r out there 2 try and show them how 2 think be4 u speak so u do not hurt others with ur words. But thier will always be those who will never change and that is the way of life in our world we seem 2 always need that counter person to argue with.
You have freedom of religion, stop acting like you don't. Over 70% of Americans are said to be Christian. You're not a minority here. We even have In God We Trust on our money.
I just want to know why a fast-food chain even has a stance on this issue, or any issue for that matter. Kill the chickens, make the sandwiches, and stfu.
I'm supportive of Chick Fil-A for being honest about their prejudice; it beats the anonymous bigots in their pointy hats, but to disrespect anyone's beliefs, Christians, homosexuals, Mexicans, disabled, whatever; it's bigotry, plain and simple.

One can't say that another persons choices are wrong without realizing that the statement carries the implicit understanding that the person making the statement considers themselves better than those they're discrediting.

It's bigotry, it's prejudice, and the Bible doesn't condone it and I don't support or condone bigots.  And I'm not a Christian but I've read many Bibles including the Gnostic Bible, which all Christians might try if you think the Gospel according to Jesus, Mary and Judas may have some bearing on your beliefs.
I thought they were supposed to read the bible on their spare time
What is up with this post... Honestly I feel insulted
We do help the food bank. We take up money every 4 weeks at my church for the local food bank in Asheboro, NC
Their food is REALLY good and way better than the crap passed off as mcdonalds, I think this protest thing is out of line, and I have nothing against gays, but people are blowing this out of proportion. And I'm a christian
Their sandwiches are overpriced.  And that's all I got to say bout that.
Zac B
Don't see a lot of non-Christians at the food banks either. :P
Not true where I live. More Christians operate more food banks and homeless shelters than any group. When Katrina hit the coast more church's were present to help out than even FEMA. I've seen all this first hand and not off the internet. Gotta give them their "props" on helping people.
mike m
The homosexuals started that little war. They tried to put chic fill out of buisness by boycotting them just because the owner voiced his opinion on same sex marriage? He only said he didn't agree or support it.
Seriously. This is offensive and ignorant. Does it really help your cause to bully people?
Christianity is pointless, it's not even the dominant form of religion on this earth. Obviously if we go by numbers, Islam is on top meaning every catholic Jew Christian LDS, and Ll the rest are worshiping false gods.
Stupid, hateful, backwards people who get their morals from a stupid, backwards, iron-aged magic book.
I have nothing against God; it's his fans that I can't stand.
i'm a huge fan of homos...and fried chicken.  such a quandary.
The problem the way I see it, is that Christians only really rally over things that are hurtful to others that don't believe the same thing they do.

Let's burn a Quran, even though it won't rid the world of Islam or promote peace and will possibly start riots.

Let's support a CEOs company so that they can lobby more government officials to keep gay rights illegal since they do things I don't agree with since my faith tells me not to.

I would love to Christians mass like this and do something good that helps everyone around them, and promote that event like they do a Quran burning or a CEO coming out against a group of Americans.

What is the opposition against gays other than it's agaisnt the Bible? None. And I can bet many many of those gays don't believe in that book. So now here it is, Christians don't care of freedom of religion, or lack there of, yet believe their religion should dictate laws and other people's lives.

Could you imagine if Muslim ideology was forces upon Christians? Would they fight against it? But what about freedom of religion?
Ah, another dumbass version of a dumbass phrase.
I know and see Christians helping at food banks all the time. They also donate more of their income than liberals. It's LIBERALS that never do anything for anyone else.
Heh, I guess +Alida Brandenburg doesn't understand how this post makes her come across like the hate-filled bigots she accuses others if being.

Too bad.
Not only processed chicken and really SALTY could lead to health issues like high blood pressure, heart, etc...
Look Our Lord did preach peace, but he also showed the attrocity of homosexuality... Look what happened to the Sodomites... God punished them VERY severely for what they did... I think any Christian or Catholic who truly believes in their faith should support Chick-fil-a for their heroic stance I'm accordance to God's law.... God Bless the owner of Chick-fil-a!
All humanity is born into sin . We are all saved by Grace. No amount of works can merit our Salvation none of us deserve it. It's a gift from God and he extends it to all humanity. God is Love and Love is God.
Every food bank in my town with the exception of one government supported one is funded by a church.
It could also be a collective thumb in the eye to those in government (SF, Chicago, Boston for example) who would use the power of their office to crush dissent in the name of tolerance.   But y'all are too busy feeling smug and pretending at tolerance to be bothered to engage rational thought.
I never ate at that restraint but people st its good and I bet thats true u might only find 10 or 20 but not that many at a food drive!
Yeah, this picture's caption is total bullshit!   Period.  There are many food banks and shelters in southwest Ohio, and EVERY one of them is run by Christians.  Churches do outreaches locally and that = 1000's of people every week working at soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters..  In just one church, last year, during the back to school drive for inner city kids  a congregation of 450 people put together over 1000 full backpacks of school supplies...another 800 food baskets were put together and over $22,000 in monetary donations was made..  They do this every single year.  They do over 250 Thanksgiving dinners and 400 Christmas dinners every year.  This is ONE small Christian church..  One of over 100 locally... And they all do these things..  So whomever created this....MORONIC DEMOCRAT LOSER!!!
I was wondering why those people didn't buy food at CFA then give it to the poor.
Watch what u say hamilton it sounds stupid and makes u look like an idiot
The only justification is religion? I think not. Guys sexing other guys is disgusting. And girls doing it is a waste of a good uterus. Both sides are wrong here. I'm anti-gay. Not pro-religion.
This graphic assumes that these people are all Christians. not sure that is a fair assumption.
Personally i would have spit on their building
This is just a ridiculous statement. Its a blanketed stereotypical statement that spreads just as much nonsense as the original opinion.
Jesus was asked: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

As for the image above, yes, there are far more Christians than the small amount that ate at CFA yesterday that do line up to help at a food bank or homeless shelter.  The reason nobody sees them is because nobody is looking.  :-)
+Greg Swagler NOBODY IS SAYING CHRISTIANS AREN'T CHARITABLE... they are. Period. Merely saying they don't tend to line up in such great numbers in order to be. THAT'S the point.
Christians started and run the food banks you anti-christian bigot... its people like you that brought people out to chick fil a... we're tired of being bullied by you hypocritical leftist thugs
It was not in the news (go figure) but Glenn Beck just had 35 thousand people do a day of service in Texas and loaded 14 semi trucks with food and distributed it nationwide. So your post is totally inaccurate.
I'm not a Christian, but to be fair there are several Christian groups in Houston that help the homeless.
Asator remember god always forgives first.
Funded yes, but how many people from the congregation volunteer to help. It is easy to throw money at a problem, but not many want to get their hands dirty!
This is so right ...and funny.  good post.
So true I'm not religious but I agree
Two things that come to my mind when I read this post:
1) Who says Jesus preached your definition of love? Because I believe He didn't (John 14:21; Lev 18:22; Mt 5:18-19).
2) It seems incoherent to me to call upon others to hate sin while promoting gay rights in the same post.
I don't really care how people react on the massive chick-fil-a support. Haters gotta hate... But the main-post is based on a wrong understanding of biblical Christianity.
Ok, Jesus says we are all his children, but the Bible also condemns sodomy. Your missing the point this is not a racist company. They serve everyone regardless of race, creed, or sexual preference. How the family feels personally is up to them. They are protected by the first amendment. Libbies just trying to stir up trouble. Maybe the company should sue for defamation of character
America just keeps getting dumber doesn't it Craig? I mean, of course the world was made by Jesus. What nonsense to believe that something can come from nothing. How can these "scientists" with there "facts" think anything differently.
Not matter what side of the debate you are on, it is good to remember that not everything we want is good and not everything we don't want is bad. Using desire as the gold standard for goodness has always struck me as form of insanity. What bothers me about the homosexual movement is that there seems to be no restraint placed on sexuality.  If you want it, it is good. This is just nuts.

The reality is that we are all called to resist some of our natural impulses. I cannot tell you how many times, I would like to take a gun and blow away anyone who is bothering me. It is irrational, yet there are some folks who actually engage this kind of desire--and they kill a lot of people... They aren't insane, they are hedonists.
+Alida Brandenburg i dont think you got it. I am not in support or opposition of those that support the restaurant but i dont like the attacks on individuals who have an opinion, especially one that doesn't harm anyone. I support the right of any two consenting adult to marry who they wish. As a straight male, i dont have a fear of a possible erosion of traditional values, i think love IS a traditional value. However, i support the right of a person to have an opinion, wether i like the opinion or not. I could see boycotting the restaurant if they refused to serve gays, but thats not the case. Those christians are fighting for the right to have an opinion and fighting for their right to serve their faith wether you believe it to be myth or not. The day it becomes common to adjusted our opinion to someone else's conscience is the day we all fall.
I totally don't agree with Chick-fil-a's stance on gay marriage, but speaking of being hypocritical and selective, what about the anti-Chick-fil-a crowd?  How is one company that donates money to fight gay marriage different from any corporation or executive of a corporation that supports a political candidate who is vehemently against gay marriage?  Shouldn't these protesters boycott any company that supports someone like, I don't know, Mitt Romney?  That's a shit ton of companies, by the way.
All but one of the food banks in my town are funded by churches.
Christian, Christ Like. I'm a little rusty on my theology, but last time I read the new testament, Jesus made it a big deal to love even the greatest violators of gods law... something about everyone has gods love? Anyway, sounds old fashioned to me, let's get the pitchforks and punish everyone who doesn't fit into a 6,000 year old theological social order that's been translated uncountable times and handled by corrupt politicians throughout history with their own agenda...
The true Christian stood in line for food to support the his standing up for the word of god, not to show any kind of hate. Always hate the sin , not the sinner. Everyone has free will and I'm not going to hate anyone but we can all disagree with others lifestyles. As for me and my house , we will worship the lord
I'm sorry, what was that about not judging other people?  Oh that's right, if I "judge" gays - it's bigotry, but when you "judge" me, it's ok.
Gay is wrong that is the only was to put it but if people want to stand in line for 2 hours that's their business the christian thing to do is not talk about it wwjd he wouldn't talk about people who was just standing up for what is right this is america and we have the right to thank what we want to!
+Alida Brandenburg who's hating the sinner? Chick fil a? Quote them on it and then maybe your picture will be something other than a baseless, bandwagoning slam
I don't agree with same sex marriage but it's there life not mine I won't dictate what they do it's not my life so I dont care what they do
Chick-fil-a never said they we're "anti gay" they said they believe marriage should be between man and women. I have gay friends, I am not "anti gay" for believing the same thing about marriage. Anti gay anti gay blah blah blah. Those words were never spoken people.
the whole "boycott chick-fil-a" for having a different opinion than the politically popular one is ridiculous, in my opinion. Part of being American is the right to have different beliefs and make different choices. Just because they spend some of their profits supporting groups that other people get offended by does not mean they discriminate against their employees or their customers. sheesh.
Ummmm, this has nothing to do with Christians or Jesus - and everything to do with Freedom of Speech.  Duh.
I did not any Christians mention hate? Where did you get that from? The only hatred I see is for the bible that you don't read and the God who wrote it!
The comments shouldn't matter. The donations to organizations actively trying to deny a group of people equal rights based on a religious point of view should matter. I would wager most of those people are Christians. I don't think anyone would wait in line that long for chicken unless they were making some sort of statement.
He comparison or argument made by the photo is completely accurate & non judge mental because the call to action was about so called Christian values. Both Huckabee & Cathy made their statements based upon so called Christian values.
yea at all the chick fil a its soooooooo awesome i loved it
Freedom of delusion is great. Using that freedom to oppress other people is not.
f chick fil a, their not even open on Sundays.  I like popeys chicken better anyway
Freedom of speech, ain't you glad you have it! So, what do you have against Christians?
You have just so totally missed the point of all of this...its a shame.
It was funny to see on tele earlier a big elderly lady buying a meal and dumping it in the can. Wonder how she got big in the first place? No offence to sane Americans but how dumb them lot are boycotting because a person merely voiced his opinion. I ask all religious bodies to pray that McDeez CEO doesn't do the same- it'll at least alleviate an epidemic that is Obesity 🍔😉🍟

+Craig Smith  I'm glad you conservative/regressive thugs are so united by your hatred of gays. So Christian of you. And, yes, I'm a Christian, so don't bother using your bigot card on me.
Think he also said something about judging people.
Also, at least from a legal standpoint sodomy encompasses more than just butt stuff.
Statement was made it is about freedom of speech for all not just the left or the right!
Probably, from homosexual camp. You never know in this skirmishing.

Alida Brandenburg-

Just saw your "UK Daily Mail" link!

OK, thanks for your VERY basic research, I mean come on UK Daily Mail?

Did you just click on the the VERY first link you saw? Come on, you can do better than that!
Chick fil a appreciation day wasn't called in opposition to homosexuality, it was called in support of a company that was being attacked for voicing their values. Gays are not fighting for their rights in this case, they are fighting to suppress the right of others to be able to voice that they disapprove of homosexuality. Disapproval is not oppression. No hate was shown toward homosexual individuals.
Christians have been told since the very beginning to help the poor, needy, and homeless. It's one of the corporal works of mercy. I'm also sure that the vast majority of Christians do to some degree (those who don't need to re-examine themselves before calling themselves "Christian"). However, you need to see that Christians have the opportunity to help homeless shelters and food banks any time of day or week. The Chick-fil-A issue occurred within the last few days and won't go on forever. More people showed up at Chick-fil-A on that given day because the time-window was smaller. ALSO, most people donate to the poor through parish food pantries and charity organizations. You can mail or drop off your donations to these places (which is why you don't see them), but you can't buy chicken over the mail or internet (which is why you do see lines at Chick-fil-A).
He without sin cast the first stone.
what the heck means gay are not fighthing for  rights in this case
No one is perfect. Christians are people. I for one think they are supporting free speech.
Whoever posted this is a Clown. Read the bible and it says stay away from ppl of this nature for that they only will try to turn you against God and the godly way. Smh
Hmm, interesting thought although almost all homeless shelters and food banks and hospitals were formed by Christians and run by Christians, supported by, led by, and worked by Christians. And there are good people out there who are not Christians who support these causes also.
Under this current government leadership, Obama, The homeless shelters, food banks and Human services charities have been called on the most to try and help fill the needs of those hurt by his administration. So many people have lost their jobs and are out of work, lost their homes and certain freedoms attempted to be taken away to the loss of the American citizen. It is a shame to have a president that is so pro-self and against his own people and country.

Interesting about this post comment though is that the cry of this person saying Jesus said to help these of lack and need. The stance and long lines that Christians just made was to show support for the continued freedoms of Christian faith, freedom of Religion and freedom of Speech. This being necessary to even be allowed to help those in need. The liberal politicians and liberal media and liberal people want to take those freedoms away that are necessary "to do as Jesus said to do". The fowl of not being done being inferred by the writer of this post.

So, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't say you don't want Christian values and try to pass laws to squelch faith beliefs, but still cry out- where are all the Christian's that are suppose to be loving and help like Jesus said. That is the Liberal contradiction to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Government wants to be God, but it can't because it is not and will never be.
Worked out well for Chick Fil A. And seems to have made a point.....hello!
It's about the First Amendment, stupid.
Christians as a whole feed more people, clothe more people, care for the sick and visit those in prison than any other group on the planet.  This picture is a bold face lie and not an even convincing one.
F**k wat Jesus would say or do, he doesn't matter, this is about us here and now. Ppl wanna be gay, power to em, can we move on please?
+Archie Dodge Your comment caught my eye for obvious reasons, coherence is missing big time. Try again...
Anyone else find it ironic that +Alida Brandenburg comes across engaging in the very hate and ignorant bigotry she accuses others of with her incendiary original post?

Perhaps said tile was simply posted for the pageviews.
chickfila NEVER said they didnt like gays they said they weren't 4 it thats all.
And seriously we are talking about Gay and Lesbian couples WANTING to get married WITHIN the confines of a Christian Church!

How has this passed over you?

You can spout out about "Gaia Worship" all you want but the fact of the matter is that modern marriage is based on a VERY Christian belief.

If not then why are all these Gay people Outraged?

Go be Gay all you want, but DO NOT expect Christians to sanctify it!
Some years ago Chicken magnate Frank Perdue used all of his contacts to get an audience with the Pope. After exchanging pleasantries Mr. Perdue got to the point of his visit. "Your Eminence, do we have a deal for you. If you change The Lord's Prayer from 'give us this day our daily bread....' to 'give us this day our daily chicken....' we will donate $500 million dollars to the Church". The Pope responds saying, "That is impossible. The Prayer is the Word of the Lord and it must not be changed". "Well then," says Frank Perdue, "we are prepared to donate $1 billion to the Church if you change the Lord's Prayer from 'give us this day our daily bread....' to 'give us this day our daily chicken...." Again the Pope replies "That is impossible. The Prayer is the Word of the Lord and it must not be changed". Finally, Frank Perdue says to the Pope, "Sir, this is our last offer. We will donate $5 billion to the church if you change the Lord's Prayer from 'give us this day our daily bread....' to 'give us this day our daily chicken....'" "Well" says the Pope "That is certainly generous. A change like that would require me to call a meeting of the College of Cardinals. It will take some time to arrange, but I will do it." and with that Frank Perdue leaves the Pope to get back to him. The College of Cardinals assembles from across the globe and the meeting is called to order. The Pope stands at the head of the table to open the meeting. "Today, my esteemed colleagues, we are gathered here to discuss the possible cancellation of the Wonder Bread account"
These people are in line mainly in support of free speech you idiot.
Two amazing assumptions: 1) All those people are Christians, and 2) They all hate homosexuals.  There are  a slew of other options like - some of them like a chicken sandwich, or some of them support the first amendment, or some of them dislike being called haters (imagine!) when they are not, heck, some of those people may have supported gay marriage and forgot what day it was.  It's too easy to offer up the "hater" tag on everyone you disagree with.  Practice a bit of tolerance, maybe?
There r lots of rapest out not just christians
Alida, you have the FACTS wrong!

The issue is that SAME SEX UNIONS want to be phrased as MARRIAGE!

Gays and lesbians cant conceive a child!

The phrase to define the union between gays and lesbians which is acknowledged by religion and government is "CIVIL UNION"
I am sorry that most people are trying to incorporate that hate is being encouraged!

Equality is the issue! If a gay man and a lesbian woman want to marry each other? Fine! We will say they are married!

Otherwise, "CIVIL UNION"
I read all these comments and all I can say is 'I'm so happy to be an atheist'. So much ignorant and hateful things said on here.. And for what, a man in the sky that no one has any proof exists. So sad. I will devote my time and energy into loving something I can see and feel each day, my fellow man.
I thought the demonstration was about free speech, no?
Hey, maybe next time you see a homeless person asking for money to buy something to eat, direct them to the nearest Chick-Fil-a. If they can spend 5 million on hating gay people, I think think a free sandwich, salad, and drink for the least among us, should be in the realm of possibility, no miracle required.
I am convinced that this country is going backwards instead of forward.
I can't believe how many stupid people there are in this world.
ANY  person who continues to purchase gasoline and yet boycotts Chickfila is a hypocrite. The owners of OPEC assassinate Gay people just for BEING Gay. When will the boycott of OPEC begin? When will the left start WALKING to work? Gimme a BREAK!
Wake me up when you liberals are going to boycott gasoline because OPEC actually kills gays. You know, real human rights violations.
Jesus said and I quote. Christians are heathens and they are blind.... sooo to hellllll with every comment in this stupid ass post and to hell with every dumbass who is making this a topic at all
For people arguing homosexuality will ruin the sanctity of marriage... Why don't you tackle the 50% divorce rate first?
Based on the reasons/arguments I've seen there are three sides to this:
1. Pro gay marriage.
2. Disagree with gay marriage morally but not opposed to it.
3. Completely opposed to gay marriage and actively try to prevent.

From what I've read about CFA the initial statement they gave seemed to follow the second view, yet I've heard that CFA has given donations to anti-gay groups. That seems to me like they are completely opposed to gay marriage.  I don't know all of the facts so I could be wrong but this is what I heard.

Also, on a different note homosexuality is a "sin" in the context of a religion (in this case Christianity) why is it that some people are trying to force this onto others?  Why should someone else's beliefs dictate what I or someone else can do? Removing the religious context associated with homosexuality what about it makes it so terrible?

This is just a generalized query not meant to target any specific person. Just a few curiosities I've had.
+Brian Hunt LOL, I see i made your "racist/homophobic" post of the day. I see hatred is rearing its ugly head because we see things differently. So let me get this straight (no pun intended). I'm a racist for supporting CFA's stance and of course I'm labeled homophobic because i dont agree with that lifestyle. Same tired rebuttals from the left. Using your own logic, this would also make you a racist and a heterophobic. Kinda silly.
Liberals would not lineup unless they were given some kind of a handout :) Guess whom the group is that gives more to there community, look at the picture 8)
Wow, how do I like Chase's comment!?
Hey Castro so does that make u a dumbass as well 4 posting.
My dog humps other male dogs. It's kinda natural actually.
Brothers and sisters in faith, i want to take this time to share something with you. Remember jesus didnt preach he did good things. for good a for bad people. We dont look at who and if we cant stand them..pray for yourself and then pray for them. Also this is the season that the enemy is feeling threatened so he is working overtime against us who walk in faith do no allow yourselves to be tangled in the enemies trap. Do not allow your hearts to be hardened or go corupt! That is what he wants for us to loose and he to win. But we all know that we already have the victory over this war. He is just the last to know. God Bless
the pastor from my church was on nbc news  on 8-2-12 in erie,pa at 11:00 pm on wednesday august 2 2012 which was yesterday talking about that.
I don't see any hating going on. I see people of faith standing behind their own. They are entitled to their beliefs. When gays have their marches and parades and whatnot you are doing the same as they are, standing up for what YOU think is right. The only difference is that you don't have a 2000+ year old religious text saying that homosexuality is "right".
A food bank or a homeless shelter has never tried to destroy the family values that made this nation great. The Holy Bible says we are to stand up against sin and whether you like or not, homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of almighty God. Just read Leviticus chapter 18 & ch. 20. God has never changed and never will.
Never read a bunch of books about a book you don't read or form opinions about a people or a book you know nothing about. I have been a Christian for seventeen years and work with homeless and drug addicted every day. There are many spectators that claim to be Christians but only participators are genuine. If your are gay or straight you were a sinner before you ever had sex and so was I.
Cathy professed his belief, not hatred. Near as I can tell the hatred is one sided because they disagree with his belief.

I guess we will have to wait and see the outcome of the upcoming "Kiss In"
Fucking chic filet or whatever the fuck it is. Harolds is where its at. Fucking dumbass idiots. They are losing a ton of money from the gay community and shit harolds is in every ghetto and serves crackers crackheads potheads racists queers ne one. America mother fucker serve them fags their chicken bottom line who gives a shit what u are. Btw chicken is the cheapest meat u can eat bottom of the barrel type shit. Fuck chicken. Chicken fucking fools.
Since when is it wrong to say you disagree, um, when it's not the secular thing. Darwin wasn't Christian but I think he would agree being gay is not a evolutionary step in the right direction. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know queers can't reproduce.
I think its the beginnings of the church waking up.  The church has been asleep.  Its about time.
I wonder if they feed all, those people with just one chicken!
The issue is that SAME SEX UNIONS wants to be called MARRIAGE? How is that an issue. The government doesn't recognize holy matrimony. The government only recognizes contracts which is what marriage is in their eyes. If you don't accept it in your mind, fine, but the government shouldn't have that right to deny a same sex marriage.

And don't start with the sanctity of marriage. If Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Alexander, or even Newt Gingrich's 3 marriage counts is your idea of sanctity, I bet there can be tons of gays that will do much better.
This is non sense, chick fil a just gave their opinion on same sex marriage topic, homosexual community took it as an offense and decided to not go to chick a fil a anymore and spread the word. If they started something, well stand by it and assume the consequences. This support to chick fil a is a support to freedom of speech, nothing else.
I donate my time every week at a homeless shelter and i also work with special needs children 4 days a week.  I go to church on sunday.  I am Christian.  I am against guy marriage.  Also I ate at CHICK-FILA today.  With all do respect and I know this is not Chistian of me FUCK YOU and fuck the liberal mayor of chicago!
Why don't the people just butt the f--- out of other people's lives? Here's a hint: they don't need you to agree with their life-style. It's none of your bloody business. Let other people be free to live their lives how they want. These bigots need to quit trying to dictate to everyone else how they can and can't live their lives and mind their own bloody business.
I'll accept homosexual relationships when I see my dogs accept it first...  Like a great man once said, “If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.”
I hate how so many people's arguements are 'you are reading the bible out of context'. IF Jesus excisted, we as civilised people are now trying to figure out what a book written 2 THOUSAND odd years ago meant. No one knows but do many on G+ and the Internet twist it to suit their ways, beliefs and hatred just the same way a some Muslims twist how they see the Koran to justify what they believe.

The Bible is old. The time it was written how a very different viewpoint to life then. Logically it can not relate to a time thousands of years later.

Gay people are not sinners an I know a few. They are people living life as it feels right to them.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and free to express what they believe but to say someone is a sinner on the basis of THEIR OWN interpretation of a two thousand year book is out of order.

Believe what you want to believe. On a personal level, I don't believe due to no real facts and contradictory evidence all over the place. That last sentence will allow several of the more 'hardcore' Christians to ignore what I said because I don't believe their world view.

If God excists, then as a Christian surely you should be more worried that you may have interpretated the bible wrong and that you have sinned severely by hating gay people etc. how a god can be loving and yet your told to be god fearing is bizarre and strange to me.

How anyone can tell or try to impose their view that a figure made the earth and lives in the sky/heaven etc and rules the world (based solely on what they believe) is out of order.

But to insult, threaten, hate and abuse people on here or the Internet solely because they have a different viewpoint is so sad and hateful, is a bigger sin than anything else here.

Let people believe what they want. Believe but don't preach. We all sin. You and me are not perfect. Life is about discovery and experience. I'm sure if there is a God, he will forgive my sins etc.

I remain open minded but I don't believe. Maybe that will change but no one here has the right to censor, control or abuse solely because you see the world differently.
They were voicing their opinion just like any other group.  Those people in line are the supporters.........  Just like any other group that wants to march or protest !!!
To my knowledge, I don't think Jesus had anything to say about gays.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I like the sentiment here. Though I contest that point that only reason to have an opposition to homosexuality is religious driven. In any cultural system there are problems and there are symptoms. People too often confuse the symptoms for the problem and attack the symptoms and wonder why the problem exists. Those who identify themselves as "Christians" here in the west spend so much time attacking the symptoms and it only reveals them as hypocrites and not believers/ practicioners in the philosophies of "Christ".
Has food banks and homeless shelters been told to keep out of town because of their beliefs? No they haven't.
No Jesus said he didn't hate and he didn't he did say that we were to take no part in sin because sin is of the devil and he that does these things are not of god and if your not of god then your the other. For you can not be of god and be of Satan too. You will either like one or the other. So, the bible is very right on the the words of god. It is written said the the lord almighty.
This IS about Christianity. The owner of the store said it in plain black-and-white. It's all about what he thinks God wants for America. These bigots are showing their support for him.

Mind you, the Bible also condones slavery (Exodus 21:20-21), stoning women to death (Deuteronomy 22:20-1), and the death penalty for working on Sundays (Exodus 35:2). Anyone who gets your morals from that evil, iron-aged gibberish needs their head read.
+Israel Garcia if u read my post I don't give a fuck about the topic really at all. Jus can't believe everyone is making an issue about this stupid ass stunt. I'm not leaning on this to make a point about the situation I'm mocking ure dumbasses for falling into a stupid ass debate about stupid ass shit.
Catholics alone, both individuals and " the church" have founded, run and support, more charitable food banks, homeless shelters, orphanages, hospitals, etc., etc., than any other organization or group, by far, and continue to do so. They provide more charitable assistance to the poor and needy than any other entity on the face of the earth. This doesn't even take into account the thousands (millions?) of other such outreaches and charitable initiatives that are the fruit of other Christian denominations and peoples.

This meme is absurd on is face.

It is, however, a helpful reminder to me to give more of myself in charity personally, so thanks for that (being serious).
Freedom of speech is okay as long as it's your freedom and not others, okay I see your twisted mental attitude.
+Vic Webster Where do I begin in response to your idiotic comment. You have the typical leftist response. All emotion, no logic, resort to hate. Nevermind..... you are not worth my time.
+Bruce Lafone If your OK with gay marriage then u are no Christian. Maybe u should go read your bible
+Marjorie Picard The only mention of homosexuality in the New Testament appears in Romans chapters 1 and 2. No one disputes that St. Paul wrote Romans. Chapter 2 is particularly interesting given current events.
They aren't there because of hate you fools.
There are only three reasons to not eat a Chic Fil A. 1. Health and Safety 2. don't like the food 3. don't like the price. Neither gays nor christians are persecuted or repressed in the USA, and while gay marriage is a discussion that needs to be had, right now is not the time. The USA is falling hard... inflation's up, jobs are down, our education system is terrible and the hot topic for 2012 elections is gay marriage? Seriously? That's some media driven BS right there and BOTH groups need to man the fuck up.
Stephen do you kiss yo momma with that mouth?
+billy routh If you are OK with wearing glasses, then u are no Christian.
Maybe u should go read your bible
I have always been suspicious of this company because they use Holstein dairy cows to represent the interests of beef cows typically - White Faced Herefords, - which is obviously crypto racist because it is a not so subtle reference to minstrel shows.
almost looks like Tim Hortons
I tell you one thing, this post made me laugh hahahah :-)
u kiddin that place has more jews than a jewlery
Yeah, unfortunately, we seem to "love to hate" certain people, or groups of people.  Whether that's because they've behaved in ways that are deemed to be heinous or otherwise seriously objectionable, or because they are born with or somehow have acquired certain 'propensities' for such behaviors; we often jump to judgment and "throw the book" at some of them as "unclean people" who are undeserving in any way.  Where is the forgiveness?  The compassion? The wisdom and understanding that says "There, but by the grace of God, go I!"?  I'm just sayin'...
+Bruce Lafone there is verse after verse against homosexual. The bible says no homosexual shall enter the gates of heaven. Once again you have proven how ignorant you are and u have not read a bible
Homosexuality is like anything else, call it a choice, a condition, or anything else you wanna call it. I'll tell you this just because society accepts it doesn't make it right, homosexuality has not been acceptable for centuries until recent decades, so just because society or second term politicians (Mr. President) say its ok doesn't make it right or ok. I was raised hardcore Christian and even though I strongly believe in not judging and freedom of choice I don't believe that we should change our culture or values, if homosexuality is ok then prostitution is ok, drugs are ok, murder is ok, domestic abuse is ok, racism is ok, extreme Muslims is ok. Pick any of those and it's against any of our forefathers morals and values but because time changes and society all a sudden accepts it makes it ok? Hmmmmm I don't think so!! So you're right this whole gay, homo this chicken shit a bunch of politically and modern society driven BS.....
1. Agreed, that behavior isn't what Jesus preached. Christians picket too much and help too little.
2. The Bible does call homosexuality a sin (VERY clearly), but it talks about other sins WAY more.
3. The Bible never says "hate the sin, not the sinner." Just FYI. :) Not saying that message is or isn't there, but that tends to be a misquote.
You are right, they usually are already in them working. The majority of private feeding programs are run by christians.
one day they'll get with the program.
Celebrating the deprival of rights from the LGBT community?  Sounds pathetic.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners,5 practicing homosexuals,6 10 thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive,7 and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God
if you believe gay marriage is right  something is wrong and you dont believe the Bible
If u belive the Bible...
God says its an abomination not conservatives...
Ur mom and dad should have fuckeddddd....
Big mistake.... They should have been gay so u wouldnt have spoken anything....
U r misstake
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for there wicked behavior
He made man and woman, and God giving them a chance to repent for therte behavior choose not to, and continued to go in their sin and wickedness vand he destroyed that city
22 You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman;32 it is a detestable act
Have you ever been to a homeless shelter? Most of them are run by Christians. Most of the food donations come from Christians. Most of the money comes from Christians.
Really - who do yhou think runs the majority of soup kitchens and cloths closets and the most successful drug rehabs in this great country? Let me answer that for you - Loving Christians
The bible is clear! You say we r not to judge( taken out of context) The bible says we shall know a person by their deeds,
ya i really dont get this!  Christians are good!  They help and donate and etc!
Go into the bathroom there, start tapping on the floor and i bet you get swamped with Wang
This kind of stupidity would be like shouting at Harriet Tubman or Rosa Parks or the Founding Fathers that "what you're doing is nice and all but you haven't fixed poverty or world peace yet" pure idiocy. +Alida Brandenburg think before you regurgitate
Men and women make babies, 'nuff said
Chick-Fil-A is NOT a Christian company. It's a company that's run on Christian principles. The guy didn't bash homosexuals, he stated an opinion on gay marriage. He believes something, he said it. How is that hate speech?

I know for a fact that homosexuals are employed at Chick-Fil-A and enjoy the same interpersonal dynamic as any other human being. And anyone who claims to love Jesus shouldn't treat any human being differently than any other. "Judge not lest ye be judged", anyone?

This whole "controversy" is a JOKE. The man exercised free speech, he doesn't hate homosexuals. And this post is NONSENSE. It's completely baseless. Let it die already.
The premise is wrong.  Supporting traditional marriage does not imply a hatred of anybody.  To assert that it does is to spread a lie and wound some very good people.  If you wish to support your position, do so with truth, not lies.  Everyone will be better for it.
Pretty sure good ole Jesus wouldn't be wasting his time supporting a business that says it stands by "traditional marriage" he would find more important things to do!
Hello,I consider myself a Christian.I am not perfect.I don't know anyone who is.Jesus didn't ever say anything about not hanging around sinners. It does mention in our King James version Holy Bible that a person isn't suppose to Hang with sinners.we have to talk to sinners in order to try to bring them to Christ. It does say in the King James version Holy Bible not to lay with your own sex. It's not only a sin, it's an abomination in the eyes of God.It is difficult sometimes to understand the Bible KJHB.It sometimes sounds like a contradiction in itself.BUT, You have to read the whole thing. It's like I use to be a sinner but, now sometimes I sin.Jesus will forgive me if I don't intentionally sin and I confess my sins to Him (1st John 1:9).I use to live in sin.In other words I would get up ,go out and steal something and then get as drunk as I could. That is living in sin.Yes, a Christian is suppose to help a person to feed, Clothes and help a person get housing.Sometimes when you have ten thousand people outside your door looking to be fed it will take some time.It does say in the KJHB not to Judge lest ye be Judged.
What exactly is "traditional marriage" and who owns the definition?  Christians don't even agree with the Tanach's version of what was allowed in marriages which is their source material.
Sad how many people show respect & love for a cause yet disrespect The Bible & those who respect and love its gift.
This is not about same sex marriage it's all about government  overreach.
The good thing is that this society is at least getting slightly better. You never see a pro-hate anti gay rights post #2 on the what's hot list. Optimist over here ;-)
Ed Mori
They ain't all Christians!
The sooner we all accept and understand  that the rules regarding sexuality were created when people knew the least about it the better.

Furthermore, too many religions condone or have apporved arranged marriages that were arranged for no other reason than political or finanancial gain. Love between the couple had nothing to do with it. For this reason I find the Christian church morally bankrupt on the issue of sexual relationships.

As a Christian I say it is time to move forward and remember the words of Jesus "A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another."

It is time for another Reformation, in fact it is happening already.
The Bible defines a family as one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4-5)  And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? (God brought Eve to Adam to be his helpmeet – God didn’t make another man from Adam’s rib and bring him a man to be his helpmeet!!) (Genesis 2:22-24)  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Leviticus 18:22 and Romans chapter 1 most of that chapter
really? like you ever go to food bank for comment like this
Why I Know Homosexuality Is An Abomination:
(Leviticus 20:13)  If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 18:22)  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Some Key Bible Words:
Sodomite: An inhabitant of Sodom; or one guilty of sodomy.
Sodomy: A crime against nature.
Abomination: The lowest order of sinful behavior.
A) There Is No Such Thing As An Alternative Lifestyle, You Either Live The Life God Created You For Or It’s A Sinful Lifestyle!!
Ok, you are at Berkley, S.F. that says it all
As for Chick-fil-a... It's delicious but overpriced. If you eat inside then you can think of the extra cost as "tipping the waiter" because no other fast food will be that hospitable.
To each their own and I respect the company for standing by their morals agree or disagree its what makes this country great !
Are you kidding ? I nearly had an orgasm after laughing over that !!!
i thought this was a show of Patriotism,  Free Speech, Don't Tread on Me... Mr. Cathy's comments (which were an expression of opinion and in no way derogatory) were met with a cry for "social ostracism" ... OH yes, i was in line yesterday but not for Jesus or Christianity, i was in line yesterday because i am against ignorant political officials, against being bullied by anyone just because they don't agree with me and because i love this country and the freedoms i have. Am i the only one that finds it  ironic that those who yell and scream for tolerance, are themselves intolerant?
I would love to see all animals and vegetation go gay, so we can starve to death
It's not hate speech.  He does have free speech.  He has the right to say what he wants, when he wants and how he wants.  He also has the right to enjoy the results of what he said.  Individuals, especially business owners, should realize that speech, while free, has consequences. He's reaping his consequences.  A person's belief is very personal and it should stay that way especially if it is a polarizing topic like this one.

He's not very smart in my book.  If you run a business you should try not to offend anyone with your beliefs or suffer the consequences.
I love when people who hate my faith tell me how to practice it.
Who is Jesus? I know the phrase, but have never unrevealed his history, where was he as teenager? What did he do as a child, with who? What name did his first girlfriend have? He was a Jew, is that not a fact?
A myth?
Sorry to burst your bubble but God hates the sinner as much as he hates the sin.

For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.

The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. Psalm 5:4, 5 ESV

Now this is His will,

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

But we all have the right to choose.

Actually you find that most people lined up to help at a homeless shelter and the ones providing the money behind them are Christians.  The same goes for most charitable giving around the world.  Its just that most Christians dont like to pat themselves on the back and make a big show of it like the Hollywood elite and also the libs that donate to charities only when a camera is pointing at them.
So do you hate christians or chick-fil-a or both?  Or do you just dislike those who dont agree with you?  Since when does any one employee's opinion call for mayors of major cities threatening to ban the whole company from operating in their city?

BTW, I saw reports of several gays in those lines...they may not agree with the opinion of the CEO but at least they are honest enough to admit that the treatment of the company is flat out wrong.

Its not about gay rights, its about government interference in your life and of course intolerance.  You seem to be one of those people who preach tolerance unless someone doesn't agree with your point of view.

Last point of my rant is for your friend.  The bible isnt found in the mythology section of the library.
What bothers me is the totalitarian attitude from many people. I could care less if one is for it or against it. I DONT CARE!!!!!!! But some of the comments posted are very hateful & prejudicial. It would have not surprised me if someone had said something like "Lets run the fags out". Almost felt like I was witnessing something like a KKK march. As a retired member of the military I swore my life to protect the rights of all Americans, even if I do not agree with what they stand for. Example: I find extremist that protest at a dead soldiers funeral disgusting, however I vowed to protect their right to be and demonstrate in a peaceful manner. I myself am an Atheist, however when I took my vow and signed on with the Army, I swore to protect every Americans rights to go church and to worship whatever God they believe in. I would have never protected those whom only agree with me. I swore to protect ALL even at the cost of my own life. That is how much I love my country and value the Constitution.
you know Jesus well enough to say that huh? oh and I've been to food banks and shelters and most are run and owned by some sort of....christian that's right. so when you out on your ass hungry remember us christians wont judge we will get you back on your feet and help
Fuck civilization, I'm going to the woods, grab two of everything, fuck this gay shit, why I never had kids
NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY TO HATE AND DISCRIMINATE AND HURT THOSE WHO ARE GAY!! Some may interpret, that in the Bible it says matrimony is between a man and a woman. But it sure as HELL doesn't say treat homosexuals like shit! All you fake ass Christians make me SICK!
I love black people, white people, heck I even love a few Hispanic, and a few gays that I know, BUT, I don't condone homosexuality, doesn't matter who does it.
i like actually like what Alida had to say about the whole Christian's eaten chicken thing and not normally showing up for something like that on an average day, but what then again I can see the part where it brings a gathering of people around to eat something a lil' better than bread and wine, but speak up for the word. God is the name though he has a few. The Cristina's who choose to show up and indulge just for the gluttony of it choose to be judged and asked why? God knows ugly so yeah i'll show up and eat some chicken cause i KNOW me.
Its not ridiculous! This had nothing to do with religion. Chick fil a commented on their beliefs and a lot of people supported them! Liberals are loosing the grip on political correctness. That is all
Most Christians do go to food banks or other organizations to help others. We just don't take pictures and brag about it ....we don't need to. And supporting what Jesus also spoke against , homosexuality, is not being hypocritical. It is no more or less than any other sin but it is still a sin. And most Christians do love the sinner not the sin. It's standing up for what God has set for us. So r those who are for homosexuality hypocrites when they support what they think is right? How about those who say they have the right to be gay yet say things like you did about Christians? That is hypocritical.
I guess ppl make sure to blow past the allowance to marry them sweet young girls, having a many wives as they wanted, and being allowed to rape a woman as long as they married them...interesting!

I guess they did know better right so the U.S needs to get on board...not just in the area regarding gays according to a poster here!
People eat there because of the food and service not because of their beliefs on Gay marriage
evil self-possession of a group sounds and looks like horror story  come to life. incited hatred ! is not Christian behaviour.
With the way my wife and I see the gay community acting and bashing people's religion I will be voting against any law to legalize gay marriage. I'm not Christian or gay (wife is bi) and didn't have an opinion on this subject at all but your hatred towards these people and their religion has moved us to side with them. You guys are making ass' out of yourselves and claim they are the ignorant ones.
Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (NIV)
The point is totally missed. These people lined up to show their support of free speech. Why is it the left insist we have to be tolerant of whatever they decide to stand for or believe in; however they have no tolerance for allowing the right the same?
Oh my gosh seriously more people are writing posts and making comments saying its not a big deal and people need to stop talking about it than people are actually talking about it
Calling someone an idiot while using incorrect grammar!

Brilliant! xD
Also mArriage is for a man and a woman! I totally agree with chik-fil-a
This whole deal with Chik-fil-A is not a sign nor an act of hate. It's a sign of people sticking up for their beliefs. There seems to be way more justification and hate from the opposing side. Sad to see how much people are standing up for and defending wickedness.
And nowhere does it say men should have sex with other men or women with women.
+Alida Brandenburg I totally agree that the whole Chick-fil-A thing is a circus, but I take issue with the idea that only reason someone would oppose gay marriage is because the Bible says so.

What about secular libertarians who oppose all government recognition of marriage? What about those (like France's government) who oppose it because it wrongly declares that men and women are interchangeable? What about gays who want to embrace their otherness and not endorse a traditional institution that The Man made up?

I wish the secular voice against gay marriage were louder, because there are a few legitimate reasons to oppose it ("because the bible said so" admittedly not being one of them).
amen shauna we have the right for freedom of speach
what do you think about Islam being against same sex marriage? are they wrong?
The Bible doesn't say to hate the sin, not the sinner—at least not in those words. What verse is being referenced there?
This is the perfect example of what blind hate and ignorance do. Love this post!!!!
Jesus' "sword" was His word, not violence as so many people believe. His message was never about hate or judgement of Christians or non-Christians.
To me and this is just my opinion but I stood in line to defend freedom of speech, which is the First Amendment. Im sure a lot of others were concerned with gay rights or wrongs but to each their own except when the Government judges us and tries to condemn us because of our opinion.
Anything to get peoples attention away from more important issues. This is petty compared to what our polatitions do every day. Sale us out. Doing everything contrary to what they should be doing. What ever happened to,"For the People, By the People?" What do our childrens, children have waiting for them? Third World Conditions?????
you probably wouldn't see that many Christians lined up to help at a food bank because unlike liberals they dont call the press for a photo opp and they do it more that once a year so it just blends into the background noise as nothing extraordinary
This is not a stand of hate for anyone, it is a stand for Freedom of Speech. Dan Cathy said nothing hateful, he only said that he supported traditional marriage. Now there is so much hate going at him for what he believes in. Who is being intolerant? These people were all at Chick-Fil-A to show their support for freedom of speech and for Traditional marriage, that was the point at least. (it is a given that some will always miss the point)
Why aren't you at the homeless shelter? Easy to show someone else doesn't abide by their standard when you have no standard.
Perhaps they love very good food and have a different opinion. That's why we humans have free will. Wouldn't it be a shame if we all thought the same way with opinions.
Dave, aka doowop62
They are all protesters... Wtf
There is a way that seemeth right unto man but the end thereof leadeth unto destruction. This rally was called to head off what gays were planning. CFL is a private company and has the right to hire and fire as they please leave them alone the people who went there have a right to do as they please just like you. You believe in equal rights as long it is not a group of Christians who are trying to exercise their rights. Atheists Muslims and people like you can do and say what they please including breaking the law and it is exercising your rights. If a private business wants to hire Christian young people to help them get through school some how it comes out as a violation of someones civil rights. You know nothing of what Jesus would do or you would simply keep your mouth shut. Some day you will understand and it may be too late.

By the way it's not processed
My question is this:  "How many hours has the person that posted this spent at a homeless shelter?"
Matthew 6:1-4 ESV
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
I've never seen this many of any group lined up to help at a food bank or homeless shelter.
Who are you to judge those Christians? Do you know each one of them to know they never participate on helping homeless people?
+Alida Brandenburg justification against homosexuality is the fact that 2 guys doing each other in the butt doesn't create a child, nor does 2 women licking and fingering each other create one either. I don't hate homosexuals, but I would be pissed if I were in there shoes and had you come to the rescue with your uneducated bigotry. Yep, that's right. I used 2 liberal words in the same sentence. Its a disgrace that me and my fellow Soldiers risk our lives for oxygen bandits like yourself. Before you even say anything about gays in the military, I don't like it, but it is there privilege to serve and I will honor it. Find some way to help society that doesn't involve you speaking ever again.
I don't know what Chick-Fil-A is, there aren't any in Australia. But they don't sound like somewhere I would like to eat.
If you point a finger at others then you should think about the three fingers pointing at yourself. You should not condone every christian on just someones actions, such as waiting for food.
SEAN! You can't handle the TRUTH!
I agree. People need to take off the day"white wig" and stop judging people that differ from themselves. +coexist
This has nothing to do with food banks or food shelters or any Christians hating other sexual orientations, this has to do with a company that has taken a stand on the true meaning of marriage between a MAN AND A WOMAN and also choosing to be closed on Sundays so that their employees may attend church. People that are there are in support for what chik-fil-a believes in.
You know nothing of the Bible either
Have you ever been born again
Do you have the indwelling Holy Spirit
Repent and be born again
Jesus would say go and sin no more.
The real issue is the fact that a city can ban a public business from it's city due to a belief of the owner. I think a move like that would make even the most hardcore communists blush.
well i guess regarding my earlier comment, if gays dont like christians  then i guess gays dont like muslims. what do you think?
My familys Christian and we always do stuff for charity. We sponsor a child in Africa and do operation christmas child for Christmas and a lot more. So seriously the liberals need to keep they're mouths shut.
Christians do NOT hate gays. Jesus calls us to love EVERYONE. Biblical Christians believe homosexuality is a sin, yes, but we cannot hate another sinner because we are ALL sinners. People who say they are Christians and hate gays ARE NOT true Christians and are not living biblically. "Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness." 1 John 2:9 So please keep this in mind when villanizing Christians as haters and hypocrites. We're not saints, we're just forgiven.
Why is it when Christians stand up for what they believe in and do something about it people are constantly bashing them but its ok for everyone else to say and do anything and nobody says anything !!!!! #justsayin!!!!!!
+William Talkington loved that bit of bullshit LOL! Would love to see one place where such has happened to the same degree as this  "Appreciation Day"!

I doubt there's ever been a combined national event that backed up traffic and drew attention.  Had nothing to do with the "right" doesn't call the media like the "left" nonsense whatever that was.

Hell it's even funnier because this event did draw the media so I'm sure if it happened nationally in regards to something else the media would investigate just the same!
Im pretty sure he just said that he believed that marriage should be between a man and a woman. He Didnt say "Buy our food cause we hate Gays!" Its his right to express his opinion on what he believes. But you are correct about how hypocritical Christians can be sometimes.
Why is no one mentioning the Webster's dictionary description of the word "marriage"???? Leave the bible out of the equation and stop trying to change the meaning of a word! Puts a whole new light on the subject, don't ya think?!?
Strange, every food bank I know of is run by Christian groups. I don't agree with supporting hate against homosexuals, buy to say that Christians don't support homeless shelters is ludicrous. Our church has a food bank and a homeless shelter in it, and struggles against a bunch of politicians who want to shut it down.
Alida, for the record, I love freedom of speech, you do too. Just because dogs can't see color, it doesn't mean they don't exist. You don't see sin in homosexuality, then that's your freedom, but don't try to kill me when I don't agree with you.
Luke 14:12 Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors...13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed..."
Well, I done them all. But i was at Chick-Fil-A just to chill with friends and i barely missed them.
Bad me me. The Christians aren't lining up to bash homos.

They are lining up to support a company that shares the same views.

...And you gays aren't doing the same thing you are accusing others of?

You will not force homosexuality on my family or myself. Do what you do but you can't force me to accept an unnatural behavior.

I support the traditional family.
+Evan Warden How is that high school education working out for you? After the attack you launched on +Alida Brandenburg you really offered nothing of value. I believe that you are the one that should never speak again if you are unable to hold an adult debate without attacking to express your opinion.
Sounds like you bunch of Sodomites are having hissy fits.
Live and let live. Peace and tolerance is easier than religion. Make them yours.
To me this is not an issue about gay-marriage, not an issue about fast-food restaurants, nor about Christianity. This issue in my opinion, and I suspect is the reason many people showed up at Chick..., is about political correctness trumping on freedom of speech. I believe everyone should have a right to speak their beliefs even if they are not politically correct AND IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO DISCRIMINATE AND DISCREDIT AGAINST PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE STATED WHAT IS TRUE FOR THEM.  When non-PC beliefs are used to discriminate against others, that should also be illegal -- but that is not what happened here.
You can find a lot of 'evidence' to support cultural hot issues, but where it really centers is in your heart. Many people get off throwing zingers at this faction or that like some kind of childish game. But when you take it to your heart, if you have anything to bring to the issue, it comes down to this - for me. Human sexuallity is a very personal and varied concept that exists in a completely different realm than that of belief systems and spiritually. So if you're inclined to think God wants to be in relationship with us, would things like sexual preference prohibit the relationship? I believe not. Nor would many other transgressions, sins and every other negative barrier we manage to produce. The bigger 'sin' is in dividing your brothers and sisters with labels and not seeing them and yourself with love and compassion.
Thanks Cliff
And that's all it is. I wish i could take part of the love that i have in my heart place there when i was born again and give a little to every homosexual in the world. There would be more than enough to go around. I promise that it would change their lifes
I've heard so much on this topic and I feel I should say something. Before I do let me state that I have no problem with homosexuality or there want to get married, to each his own, God gave us grew will to choose or own path in life and to live it as best we can.
That being said I think this issue has been blown up way to much, the coo of #chicfila was just staying his opinion and his values on which he started his company. Last time I checked we live in s country were out first amendment gives us the right to say whatever we want and live by whatever values we so choose.
The attainment made was just the opinion of one man he was not discriminating against or inkling that his company would not serve such people, he just said he doesn't agree with their belief in marriage. Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? Really having friends and family that are gay I really expected more class from the gay community.
They DID not say they hated gays. They have a right to voice an opinion..the Bible states that marriage should be between man and woman
god-bothering nutters. the sooner we engineer a plague to kill off those with the genetic deformity that makes them believe this rubbish the better.
Funny that all you idiots are fighting and arguing about something that makes no difference in the big picture. Maybe you should try worrying about the fact that we are losing rights to an out of control government. Or maybe that there are people starving and living under bridges. Anyone ever heard the term "priorities"?
That's not chicken but canal duck. from canal outback
Everybody who wanted voiced their opinions now here is what the Creator has to say - Romans 1: 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 26For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
My thoughts about the Son of Man are nearly the same...and while I'm not overly religious, I can't imagine The Savior doing anything other than the disappointed head shake.
Cannot be said any better than this!
Maybe its the guilt of voting for tyrants
Hate the sin and not the sinner is exactly what they are doing actually. In no way are they discriminating saying that gay people can't work or eat there (which would be illegal anyway). They're standing up for their right to support their belief that gay marriage is wrong. But yet they're being called biggots and people are screaming that they are spreading hate?

By the way, can you point me to the passage in the Bible, or any religious text for that matter, where it states something like, "Thou shalt volunteer at food banks and homeless shelters"?
+Rod Jones so you know I have a college education. Just because I'm military doesn't mean im unable to debate. The fact that I am a veteran of both wars and have sustained multiple wounds doesn't slow me down either. I attack the enemies of the US and guard citizens rights like yourself to run their mouths and sleep peacefully at night. I will express the facts how I choose to. Now, go sell something, be thankful for the military, and shut the hell up.
Libs like you show how 'hypocritical' you are by showing your hatred for Christians. Practice what you preach. You 'hate' those who disagree with your beliefs. And furthermore, those soup kitchens and helping those in need are done by 90% of God fearing, Bible thumping, Good people who just happen to believe that you are wrong. They just do it in a way as to not bring glory unto themselves, not like 'others' who go around screaming how good they are because you gave a homeless man a nickle from the change you got at Starbucks. You and your kind see a cause and hope to exploit it so other like-minded people will heap praises on you. There is not one single Christian that I know who hates Gay People. We just disagree based upon our faith. I would dare you to spend your efforts on other faiths that feel equally or 'worse' about being gay who openly would call for the murder of people like this and even kill a woman who doesnt cover her hair in public. Nope not you or your friends, real tough guys. Go ahead, show your hatred towards a religion that preaches women are not 'allowed' to be educated or even drive. Right, but scream, yell, and make false accuasations about Christains because it is an accepted liberal practice. Fight a fight worth fighting, show you really committed to your cause and go after other faiths or just
back off and shut up because you are only trying to climb the ladder of slime.
Since when does the choice to believe in one thing (family values) automatically become AGAINST another thing (Homosexuality)... Last time I looked - Chick-Fil-A is FOR a great chicken sandwich - does that mean they are AUTOMATICALLY AGAINST a Great hamburger...  I doubt it. #ChickFilA   #gayrights
what is wrong....the chick fil a is not supporting gay marriage that what happens right now........but Jesus said He come to this word to judge......he do love the sinner but he also  told the true You shall know the true You will be delivery you from sin. The problem is world of GOD sad A man  will left his parents house and women will also to get married .....Jesus love every one  the problem is they don't want to look above love ..........the love on the bible talk about  delivery, We  now days only like the love of Jesus not the correction which also is love, Romans chapter 1:24-32   explain a little about what happens i the situation...........
Matt V
Anyone who believes in religion or any sort of "god" is already brainwashed to believe made up bullshit. You're all pathetic. Believing in religion is like believing in the teachings of twilight. Grow up people and start thinking for yourselves instead of being mindless followers.
Nothing but a once great country going down the drain. Thanks to Religion. Muhammad, Buddha, and Jesus all went to some remote place alone and claimed to have seen, spoken to, experienced some higher being/God/Angels . All this while being isolated / or in the burning heat of the desert. Today, we call it hallucinating or sun stroke. Think logically dudes.
Matt V
Oh and the best saying for the anti-gays....... Gays didn't make themselves....they ALL came from heterosexual relationships... DUH
Jesus never, ever uttered the words Home Shelter or Food Bank
A lot of people I know say there food is so good,I thought it was kinda bland
Those of you who are attacking and throwing unnecessary insults at religion are possibly some of the most closed-minded, cowardly bigots I've ever come across.

Yeah, that's right.  A Christian guy, calling the critics bigots.  Nice change of pace, right?  Figure everyone else can throw it around aimlessly, I might as well do the same.

It's like slugging someone who you know isn't supposed to fight back.  Sure, every now and then they try....but then you just throw in their face that whatever attempt they make is breaking their rules, and then punching them again.

People are so out of control in regards to this entire issue.

Real Christians hate no one.
Their falling away from their morals to justify hate.
Jesus said this--in the end there will be only love.
Ted Herlo
Is it possible that some, if not most of the people standing in these lines are just plain ol' Americans who believe in freedom of speech?

The president of a privately held corporation expressed his views on marriage - verbally - NOT by denying services or employment opportunities  to any particular group of people. As far I I know it's still not a crime to express one's personal views.

On the other hand, 2 government officials (mayor of boston and mayor of chicago) publicly denounced the corporation (not the man who made the statements) because they disagree with the man's views.

What's next? You can't own a home in certain Northwest city because you don't like coffee, or maybe you can't live in a certain state because you don't  like some cartoon mouse.

How far will you allow your elected officials to trample on your rights? Who is doing the hating? I stand with CFA and with every American who still believes in freedom of speech.
Liz G.
I wasn't taught "hate the sin." I was taught, "Love the sinner, FORGIVE the sin." Why do people always preach hate?
I think people should just let people be whoever they want to be... You're not always going to love or believe in every little thing that somebody does. It's up to you to be the bigger person and let them be themselves. Who are you to tell them how to live their life? If Jesus really didn't want something to happen, he would handle it himself in whatever way. Maybe things like this are just tests for the human race to see how we handle differences? So far, most humans have failed this test. Will you be the next human to fail? Or will you strive to succeed in the world of differences?
Personally, I strive to succeed. It's up to you to decide which path you will take. You don't have to agree, you just have to live.
As a christian, we should not hate the sinner just hate the sin.. We should share the will of God to those commit sin..
I'm curious to know where this is derived from?
I should have been more clear in my question. Where is this idea "Jesus preached love, not hate. Hate the sin, not the sinner" found? Specifically the 2nd sentence in that statement.
This photoshop of words on this photo is disgusting..... Almost every food bank is ran by a christian organization. Please educate yourself sweetheart before you spread this kind of hate.  Just because Christians disagree with this lifestyle does not mean they are "hating" .... they are supporting what they believe in, just as you do!  Keeping you in my prayers <3
Right now, more than ever, "God's will" ought to mean "showing patience and love for your enemies" as Jesus advised i.e. support for Chik-a-fil is not "God's will" nor is AIDS, gay bashing and 911.
I love their chicken sandwiches. Yummy!  ῧ
It is not judging read all of your bible people how can you that have been freed from sin walk any longer in sin that's bible if you are boasting on being a big sinner better get a heads up Jesus is coming back for a church without a spot or blemish no matter what you think and what your opinion is when Jesus comes back you better not be committed to sinful living.have any been born again holy ghost fill if not you don't have a full understanding of the bible for it is spirituality discerned. God's word is against homosexuality he loves the person so much that he sent his only son so they could be born again and free from the bondage of sin.he loves us its the sinfull lifestyle that is unacceptable. Ephesus 5:11 read the whole chapter
They are showing that we stand for what we believe.Gays want every American business to agree with them that's force.
Shutting down businesses just because they don't agree on something is unjust and forceful.
That's why thees people got in line to show that we will not move or get shut down just because of some gays asking for support and finding out that they would not and trying to shut them down.

Acting like a brat and saying that lds people are wrong is just the same as those of you that are gay and people yelling at you!
