+Wells Fargo announced its third round of 10 cleantech startups to join the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2). These 10 early-stage companies will receive up to $250K in cash and in-kind technical assistance to advance their technologies. Launched in 2014, IN2 is funded by Wells Fargo Foundation and co-administered by the +National Renewable Energy Laboratory - NREL.

Clean Energy Trust announced their eight 2017 Cleantech University Prize finalists! The winner will receive $50K and the first, second, and third place finishers will go on to the U.S. Department of +U.S. Department of Energy National Cleantech UP Competition. I'm very excited to hear their pitches. Congratulations to these pioneering student-led startups!

As part of the Manufacturing USA initiative, the +U.S. Department of Energy
announced its new Reducing Embodied-energy and Decreasing Emissions (REMADE) Institute. REMADE will focus on driving down the cost of technologies needed to reuse, recycle and remanufacture materials such as metals, fibers, polymers and electronic waste and aims to achieve a 50 percent improvement in overall energy efficiency by 2027.
