We've spent almost a year revamping and we're excited to launch the Google for Education Certified Innovator ( #GoogleEI ) program in 2016. Applications open on 12/2. For more information visit http://goo.gl/thIWfz. Location of the first Innovation Academy to be announced with the application.
If you are attending the ACTEM 2015 Conference or just happen to be in the area and looking for something to do on Thursday night join us. Due to space limitations participation is limited to the first 40 people who register. This event will last one hour (8pm - 9pm). All are welcome to stay beyond and continue the conversation with representatives from ProAV systems & McGraw-Hill who are generously sponsoring this event.
You may be wondering what a BrewCue is all about. First the title:
The “Brew” can mean whatever you like – beer, coffee and even tea!
The “CUE” part means Computer Using Educators
Here’s a great description of why you should join in the fun learning event: (Lifted, w/ permission of author @LS_Karl from:http://historywithls.blogspot.com/2013/11/brewcue-how-and-why-to-make-it-happen.html)
Do you like hanging out with dedicated educators who want to make school better? Brewcue will help with that.
Do you like informal conversations about education? PD that you choose, at your own pace? Brewcue is for you.
Do you like connecting pictures on Twitter handles with actual faces? Brewcue is the place to do that.
Do you relish extended conversation, not 140-character-at-a-time conversations? Or conversations that can flow, but face to face - not in a Google hangout?* Yes. Brewcue for that too.
Do you like an excuse to hang out with friends, but call it professionally developing? Yup. Brewcue. Make it happen. Now.
*[not that there’s anything wrong w Twitter or GHO]
For more information visit our site. Please spread the word to other educators and follow @BrewCueME on Twitter
We hope to see you there! Mike Arsenault, Jen Michaelis, Ben Pinault, Becca Redman, Dan Ryder & Andy Wallace
