You should try CiteULike. It has everything that you described as wanting in Pinboard. CiteULike can get your Dublin Core and metadata, port it Mendeley etc. Delicious too, though I haven't tried that yet. +Duncan Hull uses CiteULike too. I am Demeter on CiteULike. And Github. I like harvest goddesses, not flighty Aphrodites. Also, you can use CiteULike for blogging. They have a built in functionality for that, although I wonder if I am the only user. The reader audience, if any should bother, is non-pareil! I'll leave you the link a little later, in case you want to compare your app with it.

Last thought: Your Hublog reminds me of what Tantek does. Everything is so nicely, tightly linked together. Your Hublog only displays as mobile though! I don't have a smartphone, have never used one. One day, I hope. Perhaps the mobile and browser appearances are identical? Disqus comments worked just fine!

+1'ing articles using +Metatato - they show up here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/116432843366621881730/plusones

They could do with tags, to separate them from other +1's, and better metadata/snippets on the publishers' web pages.

From the NIH - "an implementation of an automated chemical name annotation system based on the MeSH controlled vocabulary called MeSH Automated Annotations (MAA).
The primary aim of MAA is to reproduce the MeSH term annotations created by curators"
A significant portion of the biomedical and chemical literature refers to small molecules. The accurate identification and annotation of compound name that are relevant to the topic of the given liter...

I remember you! You are the brilliant digital object ID master that does such good work supporting PubMed or maybe NLM NIH! I was here, on your Google+ page, about 2 years ago, and am back again via your Delicious, now AVOS account. +Tim Bull has done an excellent job with Delicious. (I still miss Trunk.ly though.)
Thank you for all that you do to keep URLs persistent and protect the bioinformatics and medical scholarly journal article repositories structural integrity. I remember visiting you on Github, seeing your work.

Do you know Micah Altman? He seems like a very clever sort too, though more of an academician lately ;o)

Dull Hunk is also great. He isn't Dull at all. He is actually +Duncan Hull.
Ohhh, I see Seb in the other column! Thanks again, +Alf Eaton!

I spent a bit of time recently implementing the Microdata API in JavaScript, and got as far as having most of it working, with a bit of jQuery assistance.

Then, after a few refactorings, I realised that what I really wanted was a cleaner way to access the properties of the Microdata objects. The result is this jQuery plugin, which maps the scoped DOM nodes to Things.

I'm interested to hear feedback on the API design and whether there are any potential pitfalls.

Good point! It would be interesting to get it working again, even if Google Scholar still doesn't have an official API…
