+Rebecca Trump When you go to the concert, just make sure you make sure your little dude understands that the performance he's enjoying is a faded copy of the 80's rock band glory of what once was ;)

It's time to start making some changes so that daylight savings doesn't muck up your child's sleep. Fall DST is the worst because it moves your baby's early morning even earlier. It doesn't have to be a huge problem though! This pithy podcast presents evidence-based approaches to make the clock change smooth sailing for your family.

If listening to podcasts is your thing, it's worth checking out this one, covering a whole host of issues related to sleep and parenting. I'm most proud of episode 6, both because I finally stop saying "um" constantly AND because it includes a whole host of pro-sleep tips not covered elsewhere on the blog :)
Welcome to the Precious Little Sleep Parenting Podcast, answering all your questions about babies, toddlers, sleep, and parenting. Come join us!

I'm in the process of switching over my site name (it's been a huuuuge pain the $#* ) and the new site is still in stealth mode as I try to get it fixed up. This project is also why there's been no new content for ages. But anyhoo if you could take a quick look and let me know if anything grossly out of place jumps out at you that would be awesome. I can't change too much because google get's confused (we're trying to make sure google understands my old site is now my new site) but have made a bunch of changes under the hood which hopefully haven't broken anything!

Cheers and thanks!

Introduction
*The Professional Story*
Many years ago I was a software technology professional. I was a Program Manager at Gartner Group (previously Meta Group), worked at a number of exciting but unsuccessful start up companies, before making my way west to Silicon Valley where I was happy at a subsidiary of Apple. Sadly this was back before Apple became super cool. Back when nobody believed that people would actually buy video from iTunes. Yes that actually was the prevailing belief back then. Crazy right?

Anyway I have an MBA and a MS Finance and had the sort of career that I could hold up and be proud of. Aaaaand then I had kids.

There are people who can be a successful corporate employee while balancing life, husband, and kids. I am not one of those people. I made the decision that being a stay at home Mom was the right move for our family, despite the fact that it's the entirely _wrong_ for our checking account (always) and my sanity (sometimes).

A few years ago I started blogging about kids and sleep. I had no expectation that anybody would ever read it. Primarily this was an experiment in using wordpress, experimenting with SEO, social media, etc.

3 years later Precious Little Sleep gets over 600,000 page views a month and has a fantastic and active community on G+ and Facebook. I'm working on a book on kids and sleep and I'm terrified that it will blow huge. It's on target for launch in Fall of 2014 and so I'm obsessed with everything about writing and book marketing these days. Blogging has led to things that I never could have guessed at when I started. Three cheers to all the amazing peeps who have helped make it all happen (you know who you are and I love you)!

*The Personal Story*
I've lived all over the US but currently we've settled into Vermont. There are days I hate it here (hint: any day in March is a day you _don't_ want to be in Vermont) but mostly it's a fantastic place to live and raise a family.

I love my family desperately. I also love trail running, skiing (XC and downhill), and adventure races. I am a huge reader and easily read 1 book a week which break down as: 10% nonfiction/business books, 40% fantasy, 40% regency romance (no judging!). My husband is French and has helped me develop an abiding love of cheese, bread, and wine.

I am also a huge geek about Survivor, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones.
Bragging rights
Ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, survived 5 Spartan Beasts, and one time I had lunch with Bill Gates (I'm sure he forgot the whole experience moments after we finished eating!).
