Why doesn't this compile:
import play.api.libs.json._
Json.obj("a" -> Some(JsString("a")).getOrElse(Json.obj("a" -> "b")))
error: No Json serializer found for type Object. Try to implement an implicit Writes or Format for this type.
              Json.obj("a" -> Some(JsString("a")).getOrElse(Json.obj("a" -> "b")))

This does compile:
Json.obj("a" -> Some(JsString("a")).getOrElse[JsValue](Json.obj("a" -> "b")))

But I would assume that the compiler knows that
Some(JsString("a")).getOrElse(Json.obj("a" -> "b")) is a JsValue so I wouldn't need to explicitly say so.

+Alexandre Russel I found this  -Xprint:typer switch in Odersky's book "Programming in Scala" where it's mentioned at small section "Debugging implicits" as:

"When you are debugging a program, it can sometimes help to see what implicit conversions the compiler is inserting. The -Xprint:typer option to the compiler is useful for this. If you run scalac with this option, then the compiler will show you what your code looks like after all implicit conversions have been added by the type checker. "

this above is practically all what it says about that. It only adds:

"If you are brave, try scala -Xprint:typer to get an interactive shell that prints out the post-typing source code it uses internally. If you do so, be prepared to see an enormous amount of boilerplate surrounding the meat of your code."

that, in principle, was enough to further understand

Is there a way to add background color to cells in column view ?
The use case is: I have a row for each day, and a value that should be over 50. I want the cell, when looking at column view to be green if the value is over 50 or red otherwise, doing something like:
** today
:PROPERTIES:
:MYVALUE: 65 <green>
:END:
** today
:PROPERTIES:
:MYVALUE: 45 <red>
:END:

This should a allow, in column view to have know quickly what columns/rows passed/failed. (being able in the column definition to give the threshold and color would be even better)
