Good article for the curvy ladies (including me) to read!

Two years old but a really interesting blend of known science and some hypothesis on the topic of how women and men differ identically perceive women's bodies and how that might tie into "eternal" values we get from evolution and more fashion-oriented values we get from culture. Also, apparently the tendency of human women to have hip and leg fat is related to helping a baby's brain develop?! Mind blown.

Bike to Work Day here in the Bay Area is coming up soon
It's Thursday May 8th, 2014. Please come out to ride! For some good reasons and encouragement to try it, check out the below interview with yours truly. Thanks to +Mai Le and the Bay Area Bike to Work Day folks for getting the word out there.

And if you're curious to try the ride from San Francisco to workplaces on the Peninsula before May, there's a ride leaving tomorrow morning from Ritual Roasters in San Francisco and Millbrae BART. See here for details: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sf2g/PbOrG4bhNNU

You know you want to play hooky in this amazing weather and explore the city!

Have you been to Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve? This 61-acre eucalyptus forest situated in the heart of the city was the perfect place to get some shade on this warm, summery SF day.

I love this place for a (much) better-than-average lunch in the Financial District. Instead of the same old thing, Urban Picnic offers healthy and inventive sandwich, soup, and salad options. The café has a number of California-influenced Vietnamese choices such as pho, banh mi, and a 5-spice vegetarian protein sandwich. They have apparently won awards for their kale salad, and have plenty of juices to keep you healthy and hydrated. While there are definitely meat dishes on the menu, this place is a stand out for vegetarian choices. I try to hit this place up every time I'm in the area.
