Completely agree with this piece - it is nothing special to work together to keep the house and family that you are both a part of. Even if only one person "works" (ha). Family care is constant. In fact I find it bizarre that anyone still thinks otherwise.

To celebrate his 68th birthday last week, illustrator Helen Green created an animated gif of every one of David Bowie’s hairstyles from 1964-2014.

Great article on compensation in merit-based environments.
I’m here to demystify how employees of established tech companies should ask for raises.

People say they would opt for less care if they had more knowledge of benefits and harms, studies show.

To get 3- to 6-year-olds to help with a task, rather than inviting them “to help,” it was 22 to 29 percent more effective to encourage them to “be a helper.”
The tactics are different from those used for encouraging achievement.

Actually, there are worse things than a good night’s sleep with a child who loves and needs you by your side.

I'd go into withdrawal if my kids don't sleep with me any more :)

Absolutely delicious, fresh food. Breakfast served till mid-afternoon. Toys & crayons for babies. Great service though our food came out at slightly staggered times. Highly recommended.

A wonderful b&b, highly recommended. Beautifully decorated and attention to every detail. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and cook up a multi-course breakfast complete with homemade smoothies. Our room (Toves) had a private garden and 2-person jacuzzi. They have wine, snacks, milk and cookies every evening, and are within walking distance to central Monterey and the sea. The Alice in Wonderland theme lends a whimsical flair to rooms and common areas alike.

Awesome butter chicken, dessert not so great (we had creme brulee). Naan was excellent, as was the chaat. Also delicious rogan josht. Would have given it 5 stars without the dessert... A little pricey.

Get the kalua pulled pork pizza. Wow. Warm and cozy place (great refuge from the rain on our visit), delicious organic pizzas, and friendly service.

Used to be a Naan & Curry. You need to know what to order (my fave is muttar paneer; bhindhi is variable but usually awesome). Dishes are around $6 each. Free chai. Overall - amazing value, great family place.
