Wow! :D
This is what progress looks like. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court quietly extended the freedom to marry to same-sex couples in five states. By denying review of any of the five appeals cases brought before the Justices, favorable marriage rulings in the 4th, 7th, and 10th Circuits have gone into effect, legalizing same-sex marriage in Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Fruitilicious! (btw autocorrect wants to change that to "infelicitous" which is a great word I'm going to have to put to use)

You're the best!

It's finally done! Took me a couple weeks, but here is my Opposition for my Rp group playing Dragon Age using the Fate Freeport Companion.

Notes:
We use Intelligence in place of Charisma for spells.
All spells used are Dragon Age spell names, though some of them work mechanically similar to the spells in the Freeport Companion

A couple people from Sterling and I were trying to keep some ducklings from running into traffic. They were stuck on the wrong side of the curb and couldn't hop over. The stray ducklings are safe with momma duck now.

Rotating GMs.

Between missions or arcs in our game, we tend to rotate GMing, allowing each GM a chance to play their characters and relax from being the GM. Does anyone else do GM rotations for games? What do you think are the pros and cons of such gaming? Or is this a bad idea?

This is done via play-by-post, so a lot of writing and organization for characters happens on the side as well to try and keep things from becoming too complicated (or forgotten). What this means for us is that all players are also GMs and we all take an active roll in collaborating story and large-game events. Though usually one person is in charge of various aspects of the game, and sometimes GMs will partner up for some things (This doesn't mean we always know everything that's happening, however. Only the 'active' GM will have all the information for that scenario).

I am the first GM in a rotating-GM shared-world campaign, and have also GMed in a Living Campaign (organized play), plus a home game where we switched GMs often. For shared-world campaigns, my advice is to:
a) have no DMPCs. Agree in advance that the GM's PC is elsewhere and gains a level on their return. If everyone is GMing evenly, this will mean everyone stays more or less around the same level. This way, the GM's PC is not an NPC during the session-- they're just absent. Which leads to:
b) hold nothing sacred. In my first session, I unapologetically destroyed the ship, crew, and captain that the other GM had created.
c) agree that everyone GMs. Equal GMing, equal play time. If one person regularly GMs, the campaign feels less shared and the burden is heavier.
d) have a space, online, where all the campaign notes are shared and shareable.

For the organized play/living campaign, obviously most of the world direction was created elsewhere, and we were just fiddling around in our little modules. Not that much fun, if you like being able to change the world, but we tried to make the best of it.

Oh really? I wasn't sure how much interest there was. We've been playing in a play-by-post and were having issues trying to find the right system for us. Recently, we switched to Fate. I'm glad some people can get some use out of this.
