Hej Markus,

this is a pretty nice and comprehesive getting started guide for AsciiDoc on ... Windows!?! I'd really like to know whether there is a target audience for this. Just kidding. ;-)

But to be serious there is one thing I'd like to see corrected in your post! In the beginning of the post you wrote "The whole thing basically is about documentation."
This covers only a atomic little bit of the intent of AsciiDoc and underestimates it's significance.

The whole thing - to reuse your words - is actually about reusable content. There is the slogan of "write once, distribute everywhere" which sounds somewhat familiar to us Java fellows. The idea is that every piece information is too valuable to hinder its educational spreading by choosing the wrong distribution format. To reach a maximum of spread by the minimum of effort you'll have to use a great creational pattern. And that is where AsciiDoc hits the bull's eye. The combination of easily understandable consistent markup and merely endless formatting power provide a perfect base format for every content distribution channel you can imagine.

And THAT ... is AsciiDoc.

Just my 2 cent though! ;)

Nice website on the usage of transitions in user interface design: http://www.ui-transitions.com/#home
The side also holds samples and explanation on which transitions make sense in which cases. This aims on providing a more consistent #userexperience throughout the web, which I think deserves support
