And yet, in all the time that has past and all the advances in the presentation of data on the internet, we still use the exact same interaction paradigm (Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor) to interface with the internet. I think think its time to change the way we think about how we access and traverse the internet in terms of our human-computer interface...

After having judged the Junior Sciences and Humanities Symposium this year I was blown away by the shear level of achievement scientists in high school can achieve. We had a 14 year old complete a research project which was large enough in breadth and depth to be published in a major HCI conference like CHI! We as researchers should reach out and encourage the youth in our areas to get involved in science. Now is as good a time as ever!

So true! Consequently, my worst teachers were the ones who didn't care enough to find the answers.
Don't forget to say thank you to the teachers who pushed you to question, create, and experiment.

I had such a good time in DC. It is truly awe-inspiring to see the national monuments and the Smithsonian museums. I wish I had more time to explore the city.

Woohoo, just got my second admissions offer for my PhD! I can't wait to go visit Seattle and Washington D.C.!

After a little bit of head scratching, I have my Google Glass up an running! I am so lucky to have such great hardware to run my research on. First the Kinect 4 Window v2 and now Google Glass!
