No clue. Samsung blocked access to the photosphere camera I think, with the intention of releasing their own app that does that. They haven't yet released such an app to my knowledge.

I don't want to get my hopes too far up, but might we have found the first real alternative to Feynman diagrams?

You're not the first person I've seen with this read of the article, so I'm wondering if I read it wrong. I think that the point was more that unitarity is something we accept axiomatically but experimentally can't ever be shown to be true. Then I read it to mean if we let go of unitarity and locality as a priori assumptions, they fall out of this amplitudehedron as a posteriori consequences. But again this is some real deep theory stuff that's pretty well over my head.

Chromecast: Cast movies on your Desktop Computer

As the title says... if you have a movies on your desktop computer, you can now cast them straight to Chromecast.

This is highly efficient, as there is no encoding/decoding taking place. It streams at full quality, with no lag. And since it is a Chrome app, it works on all platforms. No binary installation necessary; it will be available on the Chrome store.

Technical Details
I spent tonight writing a mini HTTP server in JavaScript that runs in Chrome. Full featured enough to handle requests and stream movies.

Yes, that means there is a web server running in my web browser. I'm insane.

Physicist. Always.
Introduction
I may have left physics academia for industry, but I remain a physicist at heart. I'm taking the skills I learned there out into the world and tinkering about with different technologies. Applying the critical thinking to large social problems and discussions. And bringing scientific thinking to how I approach problems all over.

The food is really fantastic. Parking is somewhat limited, and there's practically no room for waiting for a table. And it can get quite busy. I've seen they have two other locations now, so I'll try one of those next time.

Room was okay. Restaurant wasn't so great. If you do eat there, the hot buffet is not worth the extra few euro, just stick with the cold buffet.

Really great pitas and fast Greek food. Owner or manager (?) is really nice, chats with guests, really seems to care about making a good product.

We go here pretty frequently, despite the problems. But I'd say about a time in seven, they forget *something* in your order, and the bag can be difficult to check while you're in the drive through.

The room was very nice, decent view of the tower (though the museums block the view of the lower parts). Great to have parking in the carport, but it was very difficult to exit. Thankfully, staff helped out with that when we were stuck (very tight turn with a hard concrete corner)

The crust is one of the blandest crusts I've ever had, could probably use a bit more salt in the dough. But otherwise, it's the closest approximation to good pizza in the area that we've been able to find. Also, they need to start delivery.

Of the barbecue I've had in the area, Mission is pretty consistently good. The pulled chicken is definitely one of the more surprisingly good options, though they're generally all pretty good. They have some changing specials like smoked salmon or steak.
