Formula 1 is at Spa this weekend after the summer break. This vignette by Sam Posey is from a couple of years ago, but it captures the magic of this course beautifully.

I hope you all got to see, 'Jon Stewart has left the building' tonight on msnbc! Or maybe you recorded it. If not, msnbc is showing it again in the wee hours of the morning! It was awesome! Don't miss it!

I would hate to see this gentleman driver go out on a note like this year. Honda needs to get their act together and put a power train behind him so he can at least retire in the points.

Maybe it's just because I'm a teacher, but this cracked me up.

Hey what's for lunch today?  When are you coming back to LG?  I took the Porsche to SLO  with another 911 Turbo--drove fast, it was fun!

This would be a win-win as far as I'm concerned. Recent whining not withstanding, I think F1 would be in far more capable hands with Horner. And Audi would bring some valuable experience and new life to the grid.

I've always loved the R8, and I am in awe of the tech required to do this. But respectfully, doesn't "self-drive" completely miss the point of a car like the R8?
With 459 horsepower and 679 lb-ft of torque, the Audi R8 e-tron can silently go from 0 to 60 MPH in a scant 3.9 seconds, and it can do so without a driver.

Seems like the only limits really getting pushed right now are the engineers'. "the pinnacle of motorsport" needs to push the the limits of speed and driver. Technology should support that goal, not lead the way.
Formula 1 fans need have their senses more 'excited' by cars if they are to keep coming to races, reckons Australian Grand Prix chief Ron Walker.

I'm really going to miss this guy after August. I would never defend what these educators did, but when you consider the magnitude of the impact in each case, it sure seems like there are some consequences missing on the Wall Street side. Are we really going to let it all happen again?

First time I've seen a Morgan 3-wheeler in the wild! My youngest was intrigued. He wanted to take it home

I think you can buy one in kit form, if not mistaken. Would be a nice project!

A childhood favorite of mine, I was really glad to see Tony's back after the face-lift for Whitwood. Cheese pizza is simple and delicious. The Italian Gourmet is another family favorite.
