Perhaps Memorial Day seems like a time to put flags on old headstones and remember our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Perhaps it seems to be just a day off form work to mark the start of summer. It’s not. It’s about rem...

Got Rachel a Pebble to try, and I can't get the notification to work.

It keeps failing the notifications pairing. I get this error message.

I think it has something to do with iOS 8.3.

I finally found the headphone amp that I want for my desk at work, and of course, it is the discontinued NuForce Icon iDo...

Anyone know of a comparable product?  iPhone compatible, all in one DAC and headphone amp for around $250 or less.  You would think there would be tons of stuff in this market, but no....  Schiit Audio has something, but you have to use a powered hub, and use Apple's lightning to USB adapter (which I was thinking about picking up anyways)....
NuForce Icon iDoTM | MSRP $249 $149     Audiophile-Grade DAC and Headphone Amp for iPad®, iPhone® and iPod Touch®. The Icon iDo delive...

Global Warming/Science..

Where is that warming again??
Warming, warming, who has the warming? Since December 1996 there has been no global warming at all (Fig. 1). This month’s RSS temperature – so far unaffected by the most persistent el Niño conditions of the present rather at...

How long do you think you can push the "hate-filled, bigoted Christians" before they decide it is easier to be what they are accused of?

If that happens, you will pray to your idols that we go back to being the most gentle, tolerant people on the face of the earth.

Do no evil?

Man, I have been writing reviews for +Google Local Guides for some time now, and my reviews number in to 70's plus ... The fact of the matter is that Google ONLY POSTS THE GOOD REVIEWS (3 or more stars)!  The remove any review that is even remotely unflattering to the subject business.  How is this fair?  They cite a convoluted, vague 'content guideline' that mentions NOTHING about the content of my reviews - no personal attacks, no conflicts in interest, etc.  I merely reviewed the institutions ACCURATELY, and my reviews were summarily removed by GODggle.

I wrote a complaint letter, and depending on the results, I might just quit writing for them and go to the competition.  Who knows...maybe I'll even review them...for better or worse.  #Bitches are looking a lot like Microsoft these days...

In case you missed my comment on Jerome's post:

Google uses a variety of information, some automated, to determine if a review follows their policies (low star rating isn't one of them). Reviews that don't follow their policies are marked private. To make your review/s public again, just edit them to follow the policies. Based on your screenshot, inclusion of a URL is most likely the culprit to at least one of them. But check out the rest here: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/2622994?hl=en&rd=1

Weird. I just got a strange email from my hotmail email to my gmail email. Guess it is time to change the password over there.

I haven't used the account in years.
