Why would Nintendo need Apple's App store if a piece of shit like this is the most popular free game available simply because it resembles a Nintendo game?  Who needs who again?

That ain't Nintendo's revenue.

+Zach Epstein,  in your recent articles related to Wii U on bgr.com, you stated that Nintendo " slashed its 2014 Wii U sales forecast by a jaw-dropped 70% from 9 million units to just 2.8 million. In other words, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 each sold more units during their first month and a half on the market than Nintendo expects the Wii U to sell all year in 2014."

This is not correct.  Nintendo slashed its projections for the 2013 fiscal year ending March 2014, which has no bearing on how many Wii U's they expect to sell "all year in 2014".  That's a pretty significant mistake, and probably needs to be corrected since it was stated that way in two articles of yours:

http://bgr.com/2014/01/20/nintendo-wii-u-sales-future-analysis/

http://bgr.com/2014/01/17/wii-u-sales-2014-forecast/

Just thought you'd want to know.  Thanks.

I wouldn't call their advertising adequate considering the current state of affairs. They don't have to attack other consoles, but they need to, pardon the term, grow up a little. No the don't have to go GTA V grown up, just make a better push for the more mature crowd. Heck, they need to just push the games better with less focus on the fake families in the commercials. A good advertising campaign can negate weaknesses and push strengths versus the competition, something they have failed to do so far concerning the mass market.

At least some people are starting to admit it. Mobile was never going to be a viable, satisfying alternative to true portable gaming systems like the 3DS. Mobile is pretty much a laughingstock at this point, hard to take seriously even as a distraction.

Do yourself a favor and read this if you're still kidding yourself.

I think it depends on the person, really. Just like with a camera, the best gaming handheld is the one you have with you at the time. Serious photographers will reach for a DSLR (or at least a good point and shoot), while serious gamers will bring their 3DS or Vita along. For everyone else? A phone is good enough.

At some point, once you have enough people saying that their phone is good enough, publishers may think it's just not worth the ROI to make games on dedicated handhelds anymore. I don't know if that's going to happen anytime soon, but it's definitely a possibility.

Anyone have or know of anyone who has a VIC-20 megacart for sale?  I've not had any luck trying to order one from the guy that makes them, not sure if he's still producing them.

Hit me up if you're looking to unload one.  :)

I hope you have better luck than I did a year or so ago. I helped a friend in trying to track one down and he never did score one. He even ordered from the official site and didn't get any feedback from the guy making them until months later. By then, he had given up and moved on.

To those who said it would never succeed (and those who are saying the same about Wii U now), #IToldYouSo

End of dedicated  game handhelds indeed hehehe...

Playstation division alone lost 2.6 billion last year on PS3 and Vita alone--the more they sell the more they lose.  That's before their mobile electronics losses (which are bad) and TVs (which are worse).

Even if PS4 turns it around and they make money in 2014, it would take them years of profitability to make up for seven years of multi-billion dollar losses.
