Projects include turnarounds, interim CEO positions, executive leadership development, sales, product, go-to-market strategy, finance, operations and markets.
The primary focus of Technology Growth Engineering is on small to mid-market technology companies, between $5-$400 million in revenue, from distress to growth, including take-privates, acquisition of founder-owned companies, recaps, spinouts and pure growth stories. We work with some of the leading venture and PE firms in the industry.

Managed the on-premise, cloud and gateway security product line of this $200 million software company, with direct ownership of a $60 million P&L.

CEO, 2002 - 2010
CEO of IT software and security developer Sunbelt Software (now ThreatTrack Security) for over eight years. Grew the company into an established, highly successful security software company with 2010 billings of approximately $50 million, creating 350% profitable growth with a 135% IRR to investors
Managing Director, 1999 - 2002
Managing director of Bulldog Capital (acquired by Monitor Deloitte). Directed the private equity investments for the firm. Successful investments included Acta Technology (acquired by Business Objects), Vina Technology (acquired by Verilink), Achex (acquired by First Data), YouCentric (acquired by J.D. Edwards), T.sqware (acquired by Globespan), and MessageClick (acquired by Verso Technologies).

Worked for Ontrack (now Kroll Ontrack) as an interim executive subsequent to the acquisition of Mijenix.

Partner in this startup developing next-generation Windows optimization tools which was sold to Kroll Ontrack after two years of rapid, self-funded growth.

At Quarterdeck, I held a wide range of positions in marketing and product management, ultimately becoming the VP and general manager of the company’s tools business unit with ownership of a $50 P&L.
