However with a major Android device like this, it's worth presenting a second opinion. The HTC One M9 is the latest in a line of highly successful phones for HTC. 2013's M7 and 2014's M8 were among the best Android phones...

The slow trickle of rumors surrounding iOS support for Android Wear came to a head today, with a report from The Verge stating that Google is a "close to finishing the final technical details" involved with getting its wearables to work with Apple's phones. On the face of it, it seems surprising — an unholy union of Apple and Android. The mere possibility of Android Wear support coming...

Huawei is unveiling its next major Android smartphone on April 15 in London. And 10 of our most awesome (and randomly selected) readers are going to get a chance to review the phone as it first launches, right alongside those of us who do this sort of thing for a living. It's part of Huawei's Friendly User Testing program, and we've got 10 invites to give away. And we shall do so now....

There's a treat waiting at the bottom of this article. It's magical.

Samsung has finally done away with two of our pet hates in its TouchWiz UI. If you've ever used a Samsung Galaxy phone — or even sat near anyone else using one — you'll be familiar with the manufacturer's widely derided default sound effects. Since the Galaxy S3, each button press or icon tap has been punctuated by an obnoxious "bloop" — supposedly a water droplet sound — a remnant of...

I wrote some words about a weird, disappointing phone.
Sony's latest high-end phone, announced for the Japanese market, is a bizarre non-upgrade that does no favors for the company or its customers. Let's talk about the Sony Xperia Z4. The Japanese electronics giant announced the latest in its line of premium Z-series smartphones recently for its home market. And it's fair to say the popular reaction to the device has fallen somewhere...

Thanks to a slow trickle of info from LG — and a torrent of new details from a leaked microsite — we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the company's biggest smartphone release of 2015 — the LG G4. The LG G4 is almost upon us. The Korean company has been announcing some of its next flagship's headline features over the past week, and more recently a leaked (and only...

Hey there G4.

Is this the LG G4?
And there she be, folks. The LG G4, as outed a wee bit early on s semi-official-looking microsite. The LG G4 has been unveiled in drips and drabs by LG over the past week, but today it's been outed in full. Sort of. The listed specs appear to be a mix of what's already known confuddled with something that resembles the LG G3. Anyway. Here's the deal: As we already knew, we're...

BOOM. GS6 review. Hot new review design.

Here we go.
Samsung outdid itself with the hardware and camera on the Galaxy S6, but there are a few compromises in other areas. Bottom Line The Galaxy S6 finally offers the hardware that we've long desired, and it's included a wonderful camera. That's going to cost a pretty penny, especially since the software experience and battery life just aren't up to speed. The Good Beautiful new...

+Taz Hoque Taz, you are absolutely right, the underwhelming battery endurance is for me an issue that sadly will prevent me buying it. I know it charges fast and supports wireless charging but for me a phone must be able to consistently give 4 hours screen on time over a 16 hour unplugged period and the s6 it seems will not give that :(

Fifteen hard-core Android Central Forums members are getting a first crack at reviewing ASUS' newest flagship phone. Now we're looking for the next 15. ASUS is gearing up to release the ZenFone 2 this spring. But that's really just the beginning of the story of this phone. And we'll help tell that story, for sure. But the first chapters are going to be written by you, the members of...

I wrote more things! An update to my original article on future battery technology.
Recent advancements in Lithium Sulfur and Lithium metal anodes pave the way for smaller, safer batteries with higher capacities. Back at the start of the year in our Smartphone Futurology series, we discussed the technology behind the battery in smartphones and what's to come in the future. This article is a quick update to that piece, looking at some of the recent developments in...
