Very interesting discussion.
Educators know that cost-per-child can’t be the only metric that counts for education. When it comes to scale, however, this metric is a useful measure of impact and potential. We applaud +Code.org for presenting their numbers, and we think the space needs far more transparency along these lines. Though we don't agree with all the assumptions made by Code, we will use their same assumptions for an apples-to-apples comparison.

We train about 300 teachers each year, with middle- and high-school teacher split roughly down the middle. Using Code.org's assumptions for adoption, retention and student reach, Bootstrap's per-student cost is USD$6.75/student.

Like Code.org, these numbers represent our all-in costs: software development, teacher PD, staffing costs, outreach and advocacy.

Huh.  Apparently offline +Google Maps  of Spain are not available.  Lame.
