Beautiful resort. Spent time here for a work offsite. Enjoyed an evening on the lady Alderbrook, which is a great way to take in the local scenery. There are a lot of recreation activities and the spa does a really great job. The meeting/event team could be a little more thorough, so be sure all logistics are secured in advance. I will definitely return to the Alderbrook resort. It is a great place for team buildling and I look forward to a personal visit soon.

I was at the Lodge for a professional conference, and everyone I encountered was more than hospitable. The surroundings were gorgeous, and the food was wonderful. A few weeks later, I realized that I had left some items in my room, and Ralph in housekeeping took care of it with out a glitch. All of this, and a in house cat.

We just came back from a 3 day/2 nights at your resort. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. We paid $509 per night and expected high quality service, which we did not get. Upon our arrival the room was not clean--at all!! There was feces in the toilet, toenails on the bathroom floor, not even the garbage was emptied! And the floors clearly were not vacuumed. We went to the front desk and asked them to, please, clean our room. The front desk clerk was apologetic and assured us it would be done immediately. 2 hours later we came back and the only thing that was "fixed" was a blanket that they folded...no scrubbed toilet no clean floors! So again we went down to the front desk, this time I gave them a list with the things I wanted them to do. The front desk girl was saying " It is okay we fix it" It is okay????? That I have to ask for a clean room? Really!? Finally it got done but the toenail was still there. And there was no extra little apology note or maybe a basket of fruit, cookies or gift card for a spa treatment. Nothing!! The restaurant service was also lousy too. Waiter brought food and asked if we would like some fresh pepper. We said yes, she never came back. We won't stay there again for sure.

I made my reservation in 5/2014, I had noted "please give us a quiet room away from the restaurant" in the special request. Looked like no one cares about the note because we got room #321 ($300/per night). Unacceptable loud music noise right below our room that last till 11:00 pm. Is it my fault that I forgot to enforce my note ? Should I ask for a different room at 9:00 pm when we are ready for bed ? They should let all customers know ahead of time about the loud music from the restaurant when they assign the room to them !! This is a hotel for family with young screaming kids, they even have a big entertainment room for X-box game. Not a place for couple that looking for a nice quiet get away. BTW, there's nothing else around the hotel, we could not wait to leave.

Horrible experience... Had our wedding July 2014. The resort itself outdoors is a gorgeous place for a wedding. From the moment our family arrived it was complete chaos... the reception room was not ready for us to start decorating... there was a brunch still in the process of where our wedding ceremony was to take place and we had an itinerary schedule for rehearsal.... We were not able to have an adequate rehearsal since the brunch was still going at noon, rehearsal was from 11 am to noon. 2 bridesmaids & myself (bride) were to have our hair done at 1:00 for pictures to start being taken at 2:00, there was only 1 person scheduled to complete 3 people in an hour...which of course did not happen... Wedding was scheduled for 4:30 pm.. by 3:15 pm we were able to start pictures, guests started arriving by 4:10 so unfortunately there was not anytime for any photos with our parents...only the wedding party. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Not able to check into our rooms, was previously set up that we were paying for our family to stay the night, had list of rooms with names, but family members were not allowed to check in unless they gave a credit card, plus the bills were left outside the rooms for them to see the costs after the fact. Employess picked up our marriage license, along with vases and put away that we had to spend over an hour the next day trying to track down. They could not find the cake plates or pillars to our wedding cake. My mom drove out there 2 days later to pick up, only got part of the cake stuff, told me they would mail to me, cake lady drove out there, they assured her it was mailed... 2 weeks later I called again, they went and checked and found the rest of the pillars and said they would overnight to me. The get ready room had "1" mirror for 3 of us plus 2 moms to use, asked for extra mirrors, never received, called front desk for mirrors, never received. Wedding was for 100 guests plus 13 at head table, crammed into a room where you couldn't even move the chair out from dinner table, dancing and cake table with DJ were put into an even smaller room with no seating but two cocktail tables; so guests had to stand to watch first dance, father daughter dance etc... The list could continue, but these are the most important... For the amount of $$$$ charged, definitely not what I expected for a wedding, after the fact they issued a partial credit on sight fee only.. the breakfast was billed for 21 people instead of 13, half of breakfast was awful, continued to bring food in after everyone finished eating... fixed the billing afterwords, the final straw, final invoice paid, and they have now double billed my in laws for their room after we have already paid it.... WOW REALLY???????

One of my employees booked a Christmas function with Alderbrook while I was out of town. When I was made aware of this mistake I instructed her to cancel the reservations. Alderbrook will not allow us to cancel the reservations without incurring a $2,000 deposit penalty and paying half of the room revenue fee which comes to an additional $1,200 regardless of them renting the room out to another customer or not. The main reason I wanted to cancel after hearing that my employee had booked the rooms was based on the event details. The Alderbrook resort is charging us $190/plate for a buffet dinner, drinks, dj and breakfast in a room with no windows. To me, this seems ridiculous and is the reason I wanted to cancel. There is nothing high end about a buffet dinner, the drinks were well drinks not top shelf alcohol, beer and wine and when I here the word "DJ" I picture a 19 year old kid playing DVD's, most hotels serve a buffet breakfast for free. How can all of this come to $190 per plate, that's one heck of a profit margin? On top of the $190 per plate buffet style meal we are paying $120 per room. While the room rate seems fair the cost per plate is outrageous and I felt I could get a better meal and venue for that kind of money, while Alderbrook is on the water their banquet rooms have no windows. No offense to Alderbrook but we live in the Puget Sound, there is no end to the number of beautiful venues we could utilize for our company Christmas party and $190 per plate should get a full course full service meal with lots of choices, not a buffet and a dj. While I am upset with my employee for booking the venue without my approval I am equally upset that the Alderbrook Resort would allow an employee to sign a contract committing my company in any way. It is not legal for my employee to sign a contract binding the company. It is not legal for Alderbrook to try and hold me to a contract signed by an employee. It is also a horrible business move for the Alderbrook resort to hold their clients to such an archaic cancellation policy. The Customer Service representative who sold my employee the reservation, Kurt Robertson, told me they are full throughout the Christmas season. If they are full why would they penalize repeat customers for cancelling several months prior to the event taking place? Ridiculous.
