Facebook photos transfer is done. I just used Facebook's export tool by going to Account Settings and then Download Your Information. The zipped file has all your photos inside folders with the name of the album.

What's neat about the folders with the album's name is that Picasa will upload the whole folder and keep the album name.

I want to do this. I'm going to try it. If it doesn't work, I'm going to annoy you until you teach me.

by which, of course, she means she's just going to annoy you anyway. you know, for the fun of it.

It's actually pretty simple if you use the Picasa PC app.

I hear if you yell at Alberto enough, it'll do it all by itself

The thing said it will send me an e-mail when my archive is ready to download. So, I guess now I just wait. If I don't get the e-mail soon, I'll start yelling at Alberto.

Yeah it'll take some time depending on how much data you have on Facebook, it'll take no more than hour though

still waiting for the email from facebook, been at least 2 hours (the curse of the techie, really really impatient)

So this will save the photos in a folder with the album name, but there isn't any way to preserve captions or other Facebook album information, is there?

Album captions and comments are saved on an html file
