Brilliant. Well worth reading especially if you ever worked on a high volume production line.

Pity it's an image not text.

I've seen a lot of basking of Google+ By Facebook users. Well, I for one think Facebook has it's purpose. It's like the Darwin Awards for social embarrassment and self-incrimination.

Maybe as a cost cutting measure they could be removed from cars since they are regularly not used.

Just went to Quora Homepage and this BIG graphic appears on the screen requiring me to select at least 5 topics before I can proceed.
I have a login but I was not logged in and there was nowhere for me to login.  This to me is Dumb (yes I did the capital D on purpose)

Why stop people using your site.
Why not give people with an account the ability to login so their default categories can be used.

Why send me an email notification that I cannot action.  Not even the Home Icon in the top left will take me somewhere I can login. The same BIG graphic requiring me to select 5 items still comes up.

I wrote this nearly 2 years ago and still believe for doing business online the priorities are:
Trust and then Like.
First purchase based on Trust after that it's whether I Like doing business without. Without Trust we never get to a place where customers and client can decide if they like us.

A simple example is eBay. I Trust eBay that if a seller doesn't act ethically eBay will have my back. So I'm happy to buy from retailers I don't know using eBay as eBay provides the Trust.
Last year while looking at the challenges of small businesses going online the realization hit me that what they need to build first is is trust. With trust shoppers are more likely to take the cha...

Lubuntu or Xbuntu for netbook
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 9e (Atom 270, 1GB RAM, spinning 120GB disk, 1024x600 resolution) that currently has XP on it.
Looking to put a lightweight Linux on it. Happy with Ubuntu on other computer but looking for a more lightweight option. In the Ubuntu world it looks like the options of Lubuntu and Xbuntu.
Which would you recommend?
More importantly WHY?
I want to understand the merits and not just personal preference.
