Hey +Google, it looks like you disabled a key feature that made G+ unique. The ability to control what kind and how much content I see on my feed.

Yes, there's an option now for the communities, but why take away the feature from your Circles?

Unless I'm missing something here, but the following page is no longer applicable to me as the toggle to filter how much content you get from specific circles is no longer there.

Hello all!

It's been a while since I posted here on G+, and just to clarify things I have not abandoned the platform.

The reason for my absence has been mainly due to me having taken on a new role at work, taking up a lot of my time, and becoming a father again!

Things are settling down now, and one of the first things that I'll be doing is to clean up my network here on G+. There's going to be a massive cull in my circles in a drive to make the network here more personal to me.

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day! :)

Thanks +Nikki C! I've been quite busy! It's been frustrating not being able to really use G+ as I really love the network over all the others.

I've obliterated about over 4,000 contacts in my circles since then +Dave Kesarisingh! My feed is now almost where I want it! If only G+ would return the sliders to how much I see from each circle.

Thanks +Nic Jackson! All is good, and hopefully when things settle down, I can return fielding all those portals that have popped up since my break! Hope you're keeping well too dude! :)

FEELING ALIVE

Taken during a weekend photowalk last year. Only came round to it now. If I remember correctly, this was just beside Victoria Road near Westminster.

Introducing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic

Our happiest Google+ users are those who connect with others around shared interests and passions. So we set out to give people a place to express the things they love. Today, we’re announcing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic.

Every collection is a focused set of posts on a particular topic, providing an easy way for you to organize all the things you’re into. Each collection can be shared publicly, privately, or with a custom set of people. Once you create your first collection, your profile will display a new tab where other people can find and follow your collections.

Posts in collections you follow will appear in your Home stream, with a link to easily jump right into the collection so you can get to similar content from that author. Collections give you a great way to find more of the stuff you love from the people you follow.

Collections is available on Android and the web, and iOS is coming later. For Android users, make sure to update your Google+ app to get access to Collections.

For inspiration on interesting topics, check out our Featured Collections page here: g.co/collections

Create your collections today and share what you love.

Glad to see MetalSucks giving this band some exposure. Their previous album had vocals that sounded like the guy from Silencer, which is like Marmite, only that 1 out of 100 people liked it.

I posted about this band several weeks ago. In case you missed it, here they are again. Prepare for a wall of sound to hit you. Oh and again, that outro. Just, beautiful.
I promise that sentence will make more sense once you read the post.

ONE NEW CHANGE LANTERNS

An impromptu visit to St. Paul's yesterday for some photography. Can't miss One New Change for the wonderful architecture, and one of the best publicly accessible views of St. Paul's Cathedral in London!

Still wondering why St. Paul's BAN photography inside.

TINY CURIOUS

A blast from the past, well, from last January to be precise. I decided to have another go at it. A personal favourite of mine.

BATTERSEA FROM VICTORIA

Taken when I was on my way to somewhere in the South, I think it could have been Brighton. I was told earlier that the old power station only has three of its chimneys standing at this moment!

You wouldn't have got this now. There are only three chimneys to be seen now. Moody image .. well done!

Great location, easily reached from West Ealing station. Parking is a pain though. The place has a relaxing ambience to it. Great selection of ale. Customer service is hit or miss. The staff don't seem too happy working there. The place is HUGE. Great beer garden. Highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic hotel. Very close to the station and the city centre. It's got a gym and a pool too. Both are clean and looks like they take care of it. The rooms are great, although the aircon seems to have trouble fighting a hot day. Awesome breakfast, and very friendly staff. It would be one of my first choices going back to Leeds.

Very convenient location. Not happy about my order never being correctly taken every time I go there. Still, it's clean and not as noisy as the others.

Location is quite a distance from Cardiff Central. There's not much anything around except that it's next to a Toby Carvery. The rooms are okay. Water pressure in the shower is low. Breakfast came in a box. Service was really good though, friendly staff. Good news, five power outlets in the room! Bad news, all of them are nowhere near the bed, so no charging phone overnight near you. By all means not a bad hotel, but wouldn't be my first, or even fifth choice next time.

One of the best parks in London. Always recommend bringing a camera and some change to buy some refreshments. Highly recommend looking at the telescope to see St. Paul's.

One of the best hotels I've been to recently. It's a nice short walk from Newcastle Central Station and just 5 minutes from the shops. It's literally by the football stadium! The rooms are very nice with lots of amenities, it even has a microwave and a mini fridge. Great decor, nice lighting, although I wish it they had a bigger TV. The shower is great, the ceiling installation of it is really nice. Breakfast is superb, the only hotel so far that serve pancakes with their buffet style breakfast. Basically, if I was to drop by Newcastle again, I'd check the Sandman Signature Hotel first before any other hotel.
