The recent patches from +Roman Nurik have been added into the app, and version 2014.11, which is rolling out via the play store, should be with you shortly.

The only known issue is the Maps option not working on the latest L preview (because it has no maps app), but that's top of the fix list for the next release.

App Update

Version 2014.8 is making its way towards you all, if there are no functionality bugs reported this will become the first public release.

The fixes are;

- Fix the back button taking you to a blank screen when returning from an external mapping app.

- Add some colour differences between talks in different time slots in the "Explore" section.

Enjoy :)

+Sebastiano Poggi Can you test it on a release firmware, not a preview one. If you can still see the problem then report it. Thanks.

Voting Time

Now the big issues have been sorted out we can look at some of the other parts of the app, and one of those is the "Social" section.

So what would you like to see;

- The current hashtag list which goes through to G+
- A twitter stream
- Something else

Would be handy if when viewing a session in your schedule you could easily go to see what other sessions are available at the same time (yes I'm indecisive)

Please use the official android-5.0.0_r1 and android-5.0.0_r2 tags in platform/manifest. This file was an interim measure and should not be used any more.

Going Live

The button has been pushed!

Version 2014.10 will be the first publicly available non-beta version, and I'd like to thank you all for helping to test the app and make sure it meets your needs.

Your installation should be updated in the next few hours. There's no need to wipe your data, everything from the beta will work in the live release.

Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing you all at Droidcon London 2014!

App Update

Version 2014.7 is making its way through the Play Store which has a couple of big changes;

- The "Map" option will now take you to any mapping app which supports geo: URIs for the ACTION_VIEW intent. This means that you'll see the location of Droidcon London 2014 in, say, Google Maps and you'll be able to get directions to it, or use any other feature of that mapping application rather than just seeing a static map with no functionality.

- The "Social" option now shows the results of a search on Twitter. The hash tag list was pretty confusing and it wasn't obvious what to do with it, so the Twitter stream from last years app has been forward ported to this years app. The Tweet search isn't real time, but it shouldn't be more than 30 minutes behind Twitters current tweet results.

Small fixes;

- The translations of the app name have been fixed, so you should see Droidcon London 2014 no matter what language your device is set to use.

Please post below if you have any comments, or put raise a ticket in the GitHub issue tracker if you find a bug.
