#‎Jetstar‬ New Zealand flights will now earn ‪#‎Qantas‬ Frequent Flyer points, giving travellers- the chance to pocket more points across the pond. The new deal, which comes into effect from today, applies to all domestic Jetstar NZ flights and starts at a minimum of 400 Qantas Points.
Points-earning on JQ NZ flights was previously restricted to passengers who booked a cost-extra Plus or Max bundle on top of the basic Starter fare.
The Plus bundle will now earn a minimum of 800 Qantas Points, with at least 1,200 Qantas Points for a Max ticket.
Those two bundles will continue to earn Status Credits at the same rate of 10 Status Credits for Plus and 20 Status Credits for Max; as previous, no other Jetstar New Zealand fares will attract Status Credits.
There's just one catch: points can be earned only on a fully domestic flight, such as ‪#‎Auckland‬ to ‪#‎Dunedin‬. The offer doesn't apply to domestic legs booked as part of an international ticket (such as Melbourne-Auckland-Dunedin).

Malaysia Airlines axes Brisbane flights, trims Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth.

#Qantas partner #MalaysiaAirlines will cease flying from its Kuala Lumpur hub to Brisbane this year, and also looks to be reducing its services to Sydney, #Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
The carrier's last Kuala Lumpur-#Brisbane flight (MH135) will depart on August 8 2015, with the final return service (MH134) on the same date.
#Sydney will see flights reduced from triple-daily to double-daily as the airline drops MH143 from August 3 and return leg MH142 from August 4 – the same flights that were suspended earlier this month as Malaysia Airlines' #A380s temporarily appeared on Sydney flights.
It's a similar change for Melbourne with a reduction from three to two flights each day, dropping MH147 from August 2 and KL-bound MH146 from August 3.
#Adelaide flights drop from daily to four-times-weekly with the cancellation of MH136 to #Kuala #Lumpur on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from August 10 and MH139 home to Adelaide on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays from August 9.
#Perth's five-times-weekly flights (MH126/127) have also been removed from sale on the airline's website beyond August 15, while the city's daily MH124/125 flights remain untouched.
Flights between #Darwin and Kuala Lumpur remain at three-times-weekly after the latest changes, while services from KL to a number of Asian cities including #Guangzhou, #HongKong, #Manila and #Taipei also face minor frequency reductions.
