I really like "The Programming Antihero", grinned at "Identity Crisis" and saved "You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry" as an option for my performance optimization tasks. ;-)

I would appreciate a vote for this one.

Empty nodes are displayed with an "extend arrow" in front, so it looks as the node can be expanded. One cannot see if a node is empty or not. Firebug doesn't show a [+] in front of such a node and reduces the opacity (but that isn't really friendly for the eye). Chrome Dev Tools do not show the expand arrow.

Short guide to remote debugging with chrome and firefox. It even helped me with chrome 32 issue not resolving the device.
Google and Mozilla have recently added tools to connect your mobile device via USB and debug the webpage opened on mobile browser. The technique known as Remote Debugging" helps in rectifying issues like rendering, debugging remotely using desktop browsers' devtools.

That's some kind of #fail , this page takes about 700mb of Firefox' memory. And the about links in german result in an 404.

Kann mir mal jemand erklären was DAS soll?

Some inspiration to get into a new year mood/motivation.

And an always working new year resolution list http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/new-year-resolution-list/
[I’m going to be totally honest with you. This is a writing challenge. It’s one of those torture devices that writers impose on themselves in order to help them better write better content. For designers, it’s something like Constraints. My challenge is Sesame-Street styled: this post is brought to you ... Continue reading »

Useful responsive images "CSS Framework", where you set the focal point of your images, to prevent cropping important parts.

For a quick overview look at: http://designshack.net/articles/css/focal-point-intelligent-cropping-of-responsive-images/
focal-point - A small set of CSS classnames to help keep images cropped on the focal point for responsive designs. Using only HTML/CSS, web authors can specify an image's focal point, which stays as the image's primary focus, while the image's available width changes on responsive webpages. Crop and re-size images depending on available width and let CSS to do all of the work, and without any JavaScript.

Chrome Bug: If you have a drop-down menu over flash content / google ads in combination with a css webkit animation the flash content pops in front. This is neither a z-index issue nor a wmode issue, you need webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; to fix that. Quite obvious! :-/
Btw. this seems to be a new bug, that wasn't "available" in older chrome versions, but I don't know when it appeared.
