Saving the Rhino

"For the past two months I have had the privilege of taking care of black rhinos as they get introduced into the wild of Botswana. My job was to take care of them for the first few weeks they spent in pens, or bomas, before being released into the wild. It has been exhausting, but a heck of an experience.

Working so closely with such an endangered species is priceless! The best part is opening the gate and watching them roam free. I took this photograph as this female disappeared into the sunset - she turned around and gave me one last look over the top of the acacia. Without being too emotional, it was a special moment for me to finally see her out there..." - Michael Fitt Wildlife Photography.

The African Safari Consultants team is great! They eat, sleep and dream safaris and then laugh a lot in between. They know Africa like the back of their hand and are sticklers for quality as well as detail when it comes to putting itineraries together for their wide range of leisure travellers.
