Happy New Year Everyone!
My name is Africa Hannibal and I am a marketing strategist by day and serial entrepreneur by night. Over the years I've had many friends and colleagues stress over starting their first business and I would contemplate how I could help them. I brainstormed for years on various ways to help, hosted networking events, reached out to investors but couldn't help everyone. Then one day it hit me, and I said to myself "What is the way that many of us started our first business and setup shop with minimal cost?"
The Answer: A Lemonade Stand!
The lemonade stand is a widely used and recognized symbol of entrepreneurship. The selling of lemonade on the streets of New York can be traced back to when a New York youngster sold it to thirsty street car riders over 130 years ago. Its connection to youthful entrepreneurship has endured and today it is often the first entrepreneurial venture of young people.
The lemonade stand as a symbol lends itself to entrepreneurship and story-telling, help us to help entrepreneurs tell their story and share their vision.
The Lemonaide Stand is a pop-up retail location for aspiring business owners to showcase their products or services how they have always envisioned but could never afford to bring their idea into fruition. When not occupied the stand will function as a true lemonade stand and co-working space where the funds will aid in building each business owners dream location.
What We Offer
The Lemonaide Stand will be a place with limitless possibilities; where deferred dreams will come to life; where aspiring artists and business owners can showcase their vision as only they see it; and where established brands get to test out new concepts and products and share them in a intimate setting with family, friends, colleagues and their most loyal customers. The Lemonaide Stand will serve as a laboratory for dreamers where they can share their creative ideas, values and converge them with our sweet delights that will invigorate and revitalize.
