This sounds more like an ex employee complaining that G+ is not what he hoped it would be. From day one they have always said this place is not Facebook. That it is a totally different way to interact. That is exactly what we have here. The line that G+ is "a Facebook lite" really made me laugh. Over the last year or two FB has been copying idea after idea from G+ and putting them into its service. And just how did he invent something that had been around on Twitter for years? Seems like he is trying to make his contribution seem more important. The whole article is full of crap.
Why is it that no matter how many people follow us on social media we don't seem to be making any new friends? We're not robots, we (mostly) followed someone for a reason. We find something or someone interesting, but instead of interacting we watch each other and pat one another in the back from time to time.
We're just nodding at each other, often forgetting those photos and names are real people.
