Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, G+, Pinterest.. oh my! It can be difficult to make sense of it all. Different channels have their own nuances. The audiences prefer various content. Blanket posting the same exact content across them all could do you more harm than good. I agree with the info presented in this infographic. It's a good overall reminder to print out and keep nearby!

Choose friends who you are proud to know, people you admire, who love and respect you – people who make your day a little brighter simply by being in it. Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you. When you free yourself from negative people, you free yourself to be YOU – and being YOU is the only way to truly live. - via: http://www.marcandangel.com/2014/04/23/6-easy-to-steal-rituals-of-extremely-successful-people/

Guest Contributor Opportunity

I'll be writing an upcoming blog post on the importance of having really good author photos. I'd love to have some bloggers who have guest authors and posters add their two cents on the issue!

Have you ever had a guest poster pass you a bad quality photo of themselves? (No names please!) Did you choose to skip adding their photo because it was so bad? Did you request a different photo? Have you ever requested a guest posting from someone because their photos were top notch? Do you even think that having a photo matters?

People would love to hear your opinion on the matter as a blogger! Leave a comment for possible inclusion in this upcoming post and I will contact you. Bylines and links will be included in the post.

Social media profile headers for Twitter, G+, and Facebook can be tricky now that they are required to pull duty across various devices from PC to tablet to mobile. Here is a good guide for creating a Twitter header for your blog or author profile!

The new Twitter header replaces the old header and takes up the full width of the screen like a background, up to a maximum image size of 2560px x 600px.

Get Yourself Circled!

Just a reminder for everybody that I keep totally seperate circles for different types of goodies. Make sure that you drop a comment to let me know which circle you'd like to be added to!

1. Fiction Writers ( PR tips for authors; publishing industry news; funny bookish items & quotes)

2. Book Bloggers (review opportunities, books coming up on virtual tour & blogging tutorials) - Please tell me your preferred genres. UF, PNR, Sci-fi, Romance, YA, etc.. I keep seperate circles for each!

3. SEO (my geeky circle for webmasterish and SEO info). If Think Geek is set as your home page or you have a pimped out PC, you've found your circle!

4. Mommy bloggers - Because some things are funny to us that other people just wouldn't understand! :)

PR & Marketing Freelancer; I help fantasy get found on the internet. I enjoy thinking big.
Introduction
I am a PR gal for authors and fantasy. I help them promote themselves and their brand (yes, *you*, really!), build an online fan base, and promote their books, blogs, websites and ventures . My job is to make your job easier and much more visible.

I really enjoy doing blogging outreach, creative marketing campaigns, and connecting with others who truly have a love for books. Fantasy (including paranormal, sci-fi, etc.) is my area of specialty. Innovative ideas are my passion.

Please note: I share different items with different people here on Google+. Items of interest for bloggers are shared with my VIP blogger circle and the same for my journalist and writer circles. Please let me know if you'd like to be added to a particular circle. I feel that sharing in this way helps to keep the things that interest *you* up close to the front for you and not buried in a feed somewhere.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure that you say hello!

Sincerely,

Went in on a Sunday night. No waiting which was nice. Our server did a good job and kept things coming. French onion soup was extremely salty, way more than it should have been. Mr. K's has been around forever. I remember going to this place with my dad when I was a kid. It's family owned and operated and if you go in there on a regular basis, they will certainly remember your name (love that!) The milkshakes are awesome. The chili cheeseburger is just what you would expect it to be. The onion rings are really good too. This is one of my favorite little places in the southend / Dilworth area. The wi-fi works really well in there too. :)

This center would be ok but it has the same exact problems that it did when I was a child and my parents tried to bring me here 25 years ago. The playground is too small and way too close to the road. It sits on top of a small hill so if your child has a ball and it rolls down hill it goes right into a major road! The playground setup here needs a serious overhaul (and a fence!). If you are wanting a playground for your kids 12 and under go elsewhere. Try the Robert Smith park instead that is not too far from here. If you are 14 and up, just looking to play basketball, this might be the place for you. We won't be back.

This place has a new name: 125 North Main. It must be under new management as well because the food was really good and the service was as well. They have a big seperate room that you can rent out as well. Parking is located along the side of the building. Certainly worth a visit if you are looking for a family style restaurant. We'll be back.

I have been looking for a good afternoon playground for my kids and this is it! The Tuckaseegee Rec Center that is fairly close to here has nothing on this place if your kids are under 12. This park has a nice playground that is buffered from the street (unlike the rec center). It was well mulched and very clean. We didn't notice any elements of concern at all (including people). I won't be driving all the way to Gastonia for a park any more! There is a walking trail as well.
