Device I connect to is: Dell UltraHD 4K USB 3.0 Docking Station (D3100), which is a DisplayLink enabled device.

Although my tool is FOSS, their driver is not (Licence: https://goo.gl/8dwL5R)

If EU-US free trade agreement (#TTIP) was made. Would #Nexus6P price in Europe still be 650€? 212€/241$ more then in US (499$)?

+Jimmy Kaplowitz saw anti-TTIP protest last weekend in Amsterdam. After that Baader-Meinhof phenomenon kicked in and I saw there were same protests all over Europe.

Which got me researching and thinking about negative and positive sides of this agreement. Since, effects of its potential impact left me pretty much undecided. I've decided to resolve it with a simple thing that's been bothering me.

That thing has been Nexus 6P European price. I also know same thing is with many other things, i.e: iPhone prices: http://goo.gl/t2XjZH

Recently, when I was in my company's HQ in US. Talking to my colleagues, I realized how there was a big notion of how same tech services/gadgets/etc ... cost different amounts of money in Europe and US. Which is correct, but each side thought how things are cheaper on the other side.

While most of it was true. IMO, this should be thing of a past. Europe and US have world's two biggest economies and markets. So it really doesn't make sense to have such inconsistency in pricing for same sort of goods.

Thus, it would be much better for everybody, if we worked together instead of against each other.

Of course, this deal goes far beyond of what I just said. But from what I contemplated from it so far, and if it would solve problem I just mentioned. I might be up for it.

Same thing here. Although we don't have snow, this time last year was brutally cold and windy.

And, I was being bit sarcastic about whole climate thing :)

New release and blog post: http://goo.gl/3f4BzQQ

------

Besides Stretch and kernel 4.2.

* Script now works on:
Debian Jessie/Stretch/Sid regardless of which kernel version you're using

* Script doesn't rely on redistributing modified version of "displaylink-installer.sh" script.

Its modification is now done on fly by displaylink-debian.sh script.

---

+Marek Vašut you're right about legal mess. That's why I released new version where modified version of displaylink-installer.sh is not being redistributed any longer.

Regarding dkms, script is Open Source so if there's something you'd like to change please be my guest :)
