Adin is an innovative and entrepreneurial manager with over 17 years of success in building, implementing, and directing strategic program efforts in domestic and international organizations advancing social change. Adin brings a strong reputation for building effective internal and external alliances, thoughtful leadership, facility to coordinate competing staff agendas and priorities, and ability to address complex problems in an attentive and strategic manner. He is an effective negotiator with the ability to financially and programmatically analyze and determine the best approaches to invest and leverage organizational resources and personnel. Adin has extensive expertise in organizational effectiveness, public policy analysis, financial management, media advocacy, and staff development and training. He brings a strong commitment to leveraging social media and technological approaches to improve organizational success.
Adin currently serves as Senior Director of Community Impact and Innovations at the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund (JCF) in San Francisco. In this role, Adin develops and implements new strategies, initiatives, programs, research, collaboration and processes to bring about change and impact in accordance with the organization's mission, goals and priorities. His work focuses on maximizing the JCF’s efforts to generate measurable impact and progress on the community level, defining and developing metrics to document impact, and increasing the visibility of the organization.
Before joining the JCF in his current role, Adin ran his own consulting firm specializing in providing strategic and program management, organizational effectiveness, grants management, communication strategy, and financial management services to national and international nonprofit organizations and foundations at senior and executive management levels. Prior to establishing his firm in 2007, Adin worked at the American Legacy Foundation, where he created and implemented the grantmaking operations for the newly established foundation. He designed and led grantmaking strategies, conceptualized philanthropic directions for the foundation, created multiple grant initiatives, and positioned the foundation as a leader in the philanthropic community. Before joining the American Legacy Foundation, Adin worked as a program officer with the AmeriCorps division of the Corporation for National and Community Service, where he managed grants totaling $20 million. He also helped establish the Partnership for National Service, a nonprofit organization funded by the Ford Foundation to support AmeriCorps programs, which eventually merged into the Points of Light Institute.
Adin holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University, and a Strategic Public Sector Negotiation certificate from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
