Looking forward to bringing my Principal and some of my Curriculum Team colleagues to the TeachTechPlay conference in April. Should be a good chance to have them be exposed to a wide variety of educational technology tools and classroom applications.
I know tickets are still available, see the link and come along if you can.

One of our Year 12 students is undertaking research on gluten-free food. If you are able to complete this survey she would appriciate it. Feel free to re-share as well, she is looking for a very large sample size.
Thanks

It's the end of another semester and time to publish my students' Journal of Couch Chemistry. Please have a read. The students would welcome your comments on their articles. Feel free to re-share as well.

To find out more about the Journal of Couch Chemistry see below.

The Journal of Couch Chemistry is a celebration of the work of students completing the Year 10 Couch Chemistry Course at Rosebud Secondary College, Victoria, Australia.

Couch Chemistry is a semester long subject which explores the scientific disciplines of Chemistry and Psychology. Through project-based learning, students have been working to complete an Extended Investigation based on the Key Question:

What are the effects of drugs on the brain and therefore X?

They could chose to focus on any drug and an X which represented a social issue important to them and relevant to the side affects of the drug.

Students were asked to present their work in two parts, a:
1. Scientific journal article
2. Public education piece

One of my student's efforts as part of an assignment for Year 10 Chemistry. This will be published in our class's Journal of Couch Chemistry (a study of Chemistry and Psychology) during the week, so just a preview. In the mean time, have a look at last year's efforts; http://rsc-couchchem.blogspot.com.au/
