    Sweet Music is conveniently located in the old Chateau Harmony building on Rte 202 in Granby, MA.  Sweet Music provides private lessons on violin, mandolin and guitar as well as group lessons.  We are the home of the Mandolin Academy, and the Springfield Mandolin Orchestra, a local chamber music ensemble that performs regional concerts with Mandolin New England. Introduction
About Me
I was born in Boston in 1962.  I started Suzuki Violin in 1966.  I attended the New England Conservatory of Music pilot program from 1970-1980, graduating with a certificate in violin and performance.  I majored in Ethnomusicology at Hampshire College, minoring in the Psychology of Music, or Music Therapy as it's now called.

I opened my studio in 1986 and have been providing private and group music lessons on mandolin and violin since.  My studio is currently located in Granby, Mass.

I am married and have two children.  

Entertainment Services
Offering three ensembles that perform traditional bluegrass, celtic, klezmer, jazz and classical music, including The Americana Project (bluegrass, western swing, acoustic country, old time), Celticado (Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton, Ceilidh, Pub-Style), Fiddle Hill (New England Contradance, Jazz, Klezmer).

Music Lessons
I have a BA in Music and certificates in violin and performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Keene Institute of Music and Related Arts and Hampshire College, where I majored in Ethnomusicology and the Psychology of Music.  I teach violin, viola, mandolin, mandola in private and group settings.  I teach all styles, specializing in Bluegrass, Celtic, Classical and Klezmer.  I teach all ages, specializing in young and retired adults.  I teach out of my studio in Granby, MA and online.
