Hmmm...having an argument with my wife about the history of Kimchi.  She says it's many thousands of years old.  I say it's only a few centuries.

Wikipedia agrees with me: Early kimchi was made of cabbage and beef stock only. Red chili, a New World vegetable not found in Korea before European contact with the Americas, was introduced to Korea from Japan after the Japanese invasions (1592–1598) and became a staple ingredient in kimchi,[7] although its use was not documented until the 18th century.

It was inevitable that someone design a hoverboard with drone technology.  This one appears to be very stable.  The operator uses their feet to control it.

Yeah, our power is flickering on and off. We have torrential downpours and we are under a tornado watch.

The train was quite crowded and a U. S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat.

There seemed to be one next to a well-dressed French woman, but when he got there, he saw it was taken by the woman's poodle.

The war-weary Marine asked, "Ma'am, may I have that seat?" The French woman sniffed and said to no one in particular, "Americans are so rude. My precious little Fifi is using that seat."

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat available was under that dog. "Please, ma'am. May I sit down? I'm very tired."

She snorted, "Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!"

This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out the train window and sat down. The woman shrieked, "Someone defend me! Put this American in his place!"

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up. "Sir, you Americans seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the wrong hand. You drive your autos on the wrong side of the road. And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window.

Happy Memorial Day

Northampton High School teacher emails students and parents freak out, sending superintendent and police to his home.  Turns out they were cc'd on an email sent to all students about a class discussion.

If this is the state of our schools, I for one am thinking seriously about home schooling my child!
