Hot Apple Soup With Buttermilk Ice Cream And Brown Sugar Biscuits

Well presented dish with fresh apple cubes nested underneath a slightly sour ice cream cleanser surrounded by warm apple puree. Exceptionally balanced when eaten all together. #fresh #sweet #tart

Had an awesome time soloing Cheyenne Mountain Zoo today. Spectacular views of the area from atop the mountain. A handful of animals were stage shy due to the looming thunder storm but still a worthwhile visit!

Awww yes, Canada GP weekend here in Montreal. City is alive and rocking already and stumbled upon the Williams Martini F1 practice car parked outside the hotel!

Montreal Forumula 1 trip! This story is pretty damn cool... G+ auto-awesome'd a ton of the pit changes and turns for some fun stop-motion in the lanes.

G+ stories are probably the best thing to happen to G+ since comment muting :D

You'd think Apple would send these guys to a public speaking class to avoid adjective overload like this. Yikes...

Apple executives had a lot of kind words for the products they announced this week.

And here they are, cobbled together by a +TWiT editor.

They're huge donuts slathered in delicious toppings, what's not to love? The line can suck on weekends but well worth it for the hibiscus and cheesecake flavors.

Best. Tacos. I am a purist when it comes to the delicious envelopes of meaty goodness from Mexico. Double corn tortillas, assertive meats, white onion, tons of cilantro, and finally doused with a healthy squeeze of lime. If this is you, GET HERE NOW! The DC area has a lot of sloppy Mexican food but very few great taquerias but this one is just a beauty. From the beef tongues' soft and delicate taste to the salty, porky goodness of their carnitas will keep you coming back for more.

Strictly a ramen and dumpling review. Located next door to Graffiato behind the Verizon Center is this little noodle shop slinging the 2nd best ramen in town behind Toki. The downstairs can be a little cramped but there's enough elbow room to slurp some noodles. The broth isn't as robust or flavorful as some others I've had but in a pinch, it does the trick. The alkaline noodles have that perfect bite and keep their integrity in the steaming bowl of soup to warm you up on a cold DC day.

Sure, driving ranges are always a good time but how about one that turns it into a video game and rewards you for your shots? Look no further than TG! Get a lifetime membership for $50 and it comes with $40 in credit for range balls. Each stall has a tv monitor for checking your shots as well as a waiter for drinks or food. The food itself is nothing to write home about but it passes for eats when smacking some balls down range. Only complaint is that it gets ridiculously crowded during primetime so be ready to wait.

This River North hotel is located right on the Chicago river so be sure to ask for a room with a view! You can walk to all of the typical tourist spots and the EL station is only a few blocks away. Another huge upshot is the fact the river tour boats are all right outside your hotel door. Hotel has a handful of restaurants inside which I did not partake in because... well it's Chicago! I'm not eating in my hotel! Come on, now!

DC was missing a seriously awesome Tiki bar and thankfully the Brown brothers remedied this. Every night there are new specials, some not as creative as others, but the names are always worth a laugh or two. This is predominantly a rum bar so be prepared as such. The bartenders are incredibly friendly and will whip up a custom drink with simply a cocktail you regularly drink. It also doesn't hurt that they have a giant mural of Bill f'in Murray on the wall either!
