At last! This is the featute G+ has been missing from day 1.

Google Plus Launches Collections... And Ends Caturday

Today Google Plus has launched Collections as you may have seen. This feature allows you to 'subscribe' to a group of posts on certain topics. If you don't see it yet.. you will shortly!

Check out My Collections:
Geek - https://plus.google.com/collection/QQdjb
Video Games - https://plus.google.com/collection/gATeb
Social Media - https://plus.google.com/collection/co20Z
Caturday - https://plus.google.com/collection/IXOqb
Zombies and the Walking Dead - https://plus.google.com/collection/AbBkb
Game Of Thrones A Song of Ice and Fire - https://plus.google.com/collection/wMXpb
Technology - https://plus.google.com/collection/8Jypb
Canada - https://plus.google.com/collection/84dsZ

If people use the feature correctly, you could subscribe to their Caturday posts cause you love cats! If you HATE caturday.. you can unsubscribe from that section and never see furry friends in your stream again. Even more cool you can put posts you've already made into collections.. Which i've done here... SO check some of my collections out and subscribe/unsubcribe where you see fit.

Pinterest what? Why would anyone use Pinterest when they have this feature of fully "pinning" not only pictures, but blog posts, youtubes, notes and more..

Reminds me of Arrakis...

"Darkwave"

Here's a new image from last month: sand dunes in Death Valley, California at dusk. Apparently I haven't posted in 50 days - life has been busy with private workshops, and relocating to LA with my girlfriend Brittany. This means you'll be seeing more southwest work from me now, though I'll still be back up to the northwest a few times a year for shooting and tours!

Testing Alteryx Macros - Part 4 - Testing For Errors
At the end of my last post we decided the next test to write was "If a user tries to total a string column they get a meaningful error message." This is going to require some new functionality to the test framework; as for this test to pass we will need the...

Testing Alteryx Macros - Part 3 - Comparing Data Values
OK time to write some more tests.  But first we need to add some more functionality to our "Expect Equal" test macro.  If you recall from out last post, currently all it does is check if the column names match between the expected and actual data.  Our next...

Unreal Engine now free

Unreal engine is now free, including 100% of the C++ source code, so you can "use it for everything from game development, education, architecture, and visualization to VR, film and animation."
If you start making money on applications developed with it, then there's a 5% royalty on gross revenue after you cross 3k$.
Support for multiple platforms, continuously updated, this is pretty exciting stuff, especially as it comes "during an unprecedented time in our industry, amidst revolutions in virtual reality and augmented reality"
