I'm sharing this because I haven't watched it all yet, and want to watch it all later... Over and over again. I already have tears in my eyes from the parts I've seen already, especially the comments about the onions.

Another lesson in scale so we can conceptualise our universe.

Mums day is extra special with so many to share it with.  People sometimes ask us what it's like to have 5 kids, but to us, we wonder what we'd do without them.
Life is like a box of chocolates, we just have a bigger box :)

I just watched the Starwars Battlefront in game footage trailer, and it's amazing how far we've come in terms of detail and realism in scenery, lighting, textures, modelling, etc.

But I am left wondering... why is it that human faces still stand out as being clearly artificial?

I had lunch with +Meryn Willetts the other day and was truly inspired by her new consulting business she's starting. She left her full time job and is focusing on the real estate market to start with then growing into more generic marketing consulting with an edge around social media strategies. She was totally energised, even more than before (if that is possible) and visibly happy with her decision.

It's got me thinking about a lot of things, and challenging my ideas of where I'd like to be in 3 to 5 years. I'm sure that contact and exposure to other inspirational people like Meryn will continue to challenge and change my thoughts on many things.

To top off an awesome lunch, we were delighted by the coffee art at Chantilly's in Macquarie Park shopping center.

When faced with 4 years of intense study, are folders, books and traditional paper based notes still worth it?

Do you keep, and indeed, still reference the material you covered in your undergrad course, or any course for that matter?
Great for you if you do, but I've moved several times in the last decade, and the books and notes were left by the way somewhere.

Contemplating another growing pile of paper that I'll never honestly look at again after the course, I followed some advice from a friend and went digital only, and I'm finding it to have quite a few advantages.

Today, someone asked me for some tips, so I thought I'd write them down. I might go into some of the other advantages another time.
Studying is difficult enough without having to deal with a bunch of online tools and applications, so why bother when you can just pick up a book and a highlighter and jump straight into it? Image courtesy of Stuart Miles / ...

Haha meant evernote is great. Probably should elaborate. It's great for short notes. Also has a tag feature allowing you to mark common themes... Using it now for remembering stuff I read in my computer exercise books
