last time I did with developer preview, in my excitement, I didn't create a parttition and wrote over everything. I think I'll sit this one out until release, although I did download it...
 
good thing there's a old laptop sitting here that needs OS re-installing, i'll give this a go and try it out :)
 
This one will save all your settings, files, and even your installed apps even if you install it over the top of your Win 7 installation. Just tell it you want to keep all that stuff when the option pops up.
 
Metro looks really garish, with all those primary and secondary color gradients everywhere. Yuck.
