In which I remember one of the greatest Chrome shortcuts, paste-without-formatting.
Every Gmail user's dealt with this annoyance: You're writing an email, you copy and paste some text from another page, and the text's formatting comes along for the ride.

I shudder to think of all the developer/programmer-hours spent in pursuit of cross-app rich-formatting cut and paste. Never wanted it, still don't want it. Thanks for the quick tip!
Another helper app is PureText, which allows paste-without-formatting across all apps.
Oh my goodness, thank you for this! I didn't know about Ctrl-Shift-V, but I really should have found that Clear Formatting button earlier. Both of these will now become part of my day-to-day activities.
It sure beats opening up notepad all the time for a double copy/paste
Have you guys seen Gmail storage is now showing as +10GB? Has that been like that for long?
